There may have been a misunderstanding about our special request. Asked for NOT lower level and were put in a room on lower level. It had a musty smell and was pretty out dated. It was clean. Went to desk to request Lysol spray, but no one was there. No one at desk at check out. Pretty noisy above us all night….woke three times with walking and doors closing. Breakfast was good.

Big South Fork Lodge is a real gem! Rustic, scenic area. Becky (host) was very pleasant and helpful. The room was very clean and comfortable. The bathroom had large, soft towels. The bed was very comfortable. We will definitely stay again when in the area.

There was limited gluten free options for breakfast. The food was decent, nothing notable to mention.

When arrived the room smelled and we found trash behind the curtains and someone elses clothes that had been left behind. I dont think the room had been cleaned prior to our arrival.
