"Good"

I like the Shangri-La chain and has never let me down as a default choice where i dont know what the location is, but i was disapointed with this one. Boring , tired, and uninteresting... Food buffet was excellent though, I think there are better hotels to stay in though, and certainly in better locations. They need to up their game to get me to return.

Shangri-la prides themselves on cleanliness and friendly helpful staff. I had many worries traveling to China and the staff at Shangri-la help calm me greatly. Great food, great atmosphere, very clean, and wonderful time. My second stay at a Shangri-la and they are my first choice when I travel now.

"Excellent Service at Shangri-La"

10.0

Although this hotel is a little dated in some respects (e.g., carpeting on the fourth floor near the business center was worn), I recommend it highly because of the exceptional management and staff, who were all so friendly and helpful. The room service, door service, and desk service were all very good. When I was having a problem with my China Mobile phone, the hotel provided someone to go with me to the China Mobile office to serve as an interpreter, which is 5-star service in my view. The restaurant management and staff were extremely friendly, too, and the buffet, served nightly, was varied in offerings and of excellent quality. Another bonus I didn't think about when booking: Chinese cab drivers recognize the hotel's name with ease.

"Shangri-La Hotel Wuhan"

8.0

This hotel is about 25km from Tienhe Airport and taxi fare should be around RMB60 + 15 toll. The location is right in the heart of the city and is an easy access to everywhere. Room size is appropriate, and foods at the Shang Palace is wonderful. I stayed at this hotel for 6 nights, and enjoyed it very much. The only down-side is, quite often, fellow guests speak very loud in the corridor at odd hours; the tap water runs very weak and slow; and not many staff can speak English.
