"Comfortable and clean and friendly, helpful staff"

Only stayed a couple of nights but felt very welcomed by the friendly staff. Rooms were clean and quiet and the bed was comfortable. Would definitely stay there again... and would recommend to friends.

"Good Location Comfortable Stay"

My nine nights stay was a good experience except for one thing. I enjoy practicing yoga. The two yoga mats at the hotel Health Club were in terrible shape and the surfaces were coming off in tiny pieces. I asked the staff multiple times to replace them. They always answered me politely that it's in process. I waited, waited and waited for more than a week, nothing happened. The hotel constantly advertises on their TV that they provide their guests with excellent experiences, but my experience was sure far from excellent.

awful service at check-in is not how to start a good guest experience. Long time customer of Shangrila, and will seek a new hotel in Wuhan. disappointing indeed.

"Good restaurants "

Nice to have good food options. Gym was very good and beds were comfortable. Of he two hotels I stayed at in Wuhan, they spoke the best English here. Taxis were easy to get and the staff helped me tell taxis where I needed to go with no problems

"Need improvement to remain rated as 5 star hotel"

Expected the same quality as Shangri La in other locaitons, but was disappointed with the services 1. Reception - not so welcoming, robot-like service, not friendly 2. Room services - here with 3 persons in room with extra bed, but facilities e.g. water, shampoo, soap, etc are for 2. This is somehow unacceptable for being 5 star hotel

"Shanghi-La gets my ok!"

Clean, comfortable room. Staff spoke excellent English, and they were very willing to help. Neighborhood was as good as any. The taxi is cheap, and location seems quite central, so no problem.

"not too bad"

Happy with our stay. hotel prices with 15% service surcharge, which is annoying. We much rather pay for it if it had been specified in the hotel restaurant menu, or informed when were ordered our food. We questioned why the service surcharge is not included, but were told because we are a 5 star hotel (not a good answer!) Taxi is hard to call, if you are only doing a short trip to somewhere. We waited for our Taxi for more than half an hour.
