I rarely leave negative reviews, but our day pass experience at Dreams Resort in Cabo San Lucas was incredibly disappointing. The property itself is beautiful—well-maintained with stunning views—but unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. The day pass is marketed as “all-inclusive,” which is misleading. It ends at 5:00 PM, yet the main restaurants don’t open until 5:30 PM. So you’re essentially excluded from what most people would consider the best dining options. The food that was available was terrible. We ordered a chicken sandwich, a hamburger, and ceviche. The sandwich and burger never arrived at all, and the ceviche showed up hours later tasting like it came straight out of a can. Hoping for better, we went to the World Café buffet—but that was even worse. For $150 per person, this experience was completely unacceptable. Between the poor service, lack of food availability, and low-quality meals, it felt like a waste of money. Sorry, Dreams—we won’t be back and wouldn’t recommend this day pass to anyone.

It wasn't great. The room was the biggest issue. Dusty floors, fan didn't work, the thermostat didn't work (too hot at night and too cold in the morning and couldn't adjust it), the shower flooded the bathroom every morning. The pools were great (except the birds) and the staff at the bars were amazing. If you go ask for Ruffo! He is great. But the stay itself was not great at all. So it averaged out to 3 stars.

They are scamming people for more money after the stay. I booked a premier night (prepaid with costly membership) on the phone with UVC (unlimited vacation club). Premier nights are free nights. I received confirmation email from UVC and I checked in and checked out. Bill paid in full. Months later, I started getting calls from UVC claiming I owe for one night $374!!! Total scam!!! I explained to them they don’t send us confirmation until we pay for the room in advance and in this case I was using a free premier night but they insisted. I asked to speak to a supervisor to no avail. After multiple harassing calls from UVC asking me for money, a supervisor called me and said she caught a mistake someone entered the booking as unlimited night by mistake. This was their fault and since I have premier nights in my account she will apply one night for that stay. She promised no one will harass me anymore. Months later I’m still getting calls and getting harassed to pay for something I don’t owe. Already the resort called me and requested more money for a spa bill that they said they messed up on and charged me $200 after my return home. This is really bothersome especially I have sent confirmation emails to everyone involved at Dreams and UVC and not one person responded! I have made multiple attempts to resolve this issue but no one seems to care enough to do anything about it.

very nice stay and the service was excellent. they dont have bali beds that you can rent, which we would have done if they were available.

The resort is beautiful but customer service at the front desk was awful. We were assigned a room that had one bed, when there was supposed to be two beds (4 person family). The room was clearly decommissioned for repair because most amenities were missing (cups, coffee, bottled water), art work missing from walls, broken bathroom door, front door didn’t close correctly, etc. Most significantly we were given a room that during bedtime, was close to a staff metal service door that banged repeatedly throughout the night with loud staff conversations keeping us up until past midnight. Then it began again at 5 AM. We asked to be reassigned and front desk was resistant and slow to help. When we later contacted them about our awful experience, they offered the equivalent of half a day’s points for the “inconvenience.” Even thought we were impacted for two days of our four days. Customer service (before and after) clearly showed they are not invested in the guest experience. Do not recommend if you have kids. Loyal Hyatt member for decades and this was the absolute worst in customer service we have ever experienced. Super sad, as it was an anniversary trip which they had specifically asked whether we were celebrating a special occasion.

This resort was perfect for the family. The kids club was amazing and the staff clearly care about the kids. The activities were awesome. We have a lot of allergies and the staff were very helpful to make sure we had a good experience. Especially the concierge Oscar, he went above and beyond to help coordinate with the kitchen. We liked that the resort was relaxed, they tended to shut down the outside noise by 1030/11 every night which we appreciated. Would hapily go again.
