Hyatt Place Philadelphia/ King of Prussia

The location of this hotel was excellent and was the best part of our stay. Unfortunately, everything else fell well below expectations. From the moment we walked into the hotel, the property appeared run-down and had an unpleasant, musty odor. It was clear that the facility is in need of significant renovations and better upkeep. When we arrived in our room, there were not enough towels, and there were no sheets, blanket, or pillow for the pull-out sofa. I called the front desk around 8:00 p.m. after checking in, and I was told they had run out of towels because they were all in the laundry and that they would provide them the next morning. Looking back, it made sense because while waiting for the elevator to go to our room, another guest was asking the front desk for towels. A different guest was visibly upset, yelling that the situation was ridiculous and that the hotel would be hearing from her. She also complained about the lack of towels and other issues. Our room had several maintenance concerns. There was mold in the bathroom, indicating it had not been cleaned properly, and the toilet seat was broken. Later that evening, an employee kindly brought us some towels and sheets and apologized for the inconvenience. He explained that they did not have enough towels and was unable to provide a blanket or pillow for the pull-out sofa. I appreciated his effort and professionalism despite the circumstances. The next morning, I requested additional towels and was again told they were still in the laundry. The front desk employee was polite and genuinely tried to help, but the hotel simply did not have enough towels available. Another employee eventually gave us what appeared to be pool towels with blue stripes. Breakfast was also disappointing. The food area was untidy, with spilled food left on the serving counter while guests continued to serve themselves. It was unpleasant and unsanitary, and the area should have been cleaned promptly.

Every time me and my wife stay they always just have one set towels & wash cloth but we booked for two but the room is only booked for one person they just need to put the towel account for 2 people not one. Smile

The room was big and clean! The bed was comfortable and I didn’t notice any noise or anything. Neighborhood seemed safe and quiet. I only stayed overnight as a pit stop on a longer road trip so I didn’t use any facilities or amenities.

Could have had more complimentary toiletries but not a deal breaker
