Our stay was a great experience, very warm and friendly staff, also very clean and pride of ownership showed through. We would definately stay here again. A very good three to three and a half star hotel.

A lovely hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. The only criticism I have is that the bathroom was a bit inadequate in as much as it was small and there was no room to put anything. I would certainly recommend this hotel to people and hope to return myself at sometime in the future. Also the location was excellent.

It is an incontrovertible fact of life that Switzerland is horrendously expensive - and the Goldey Swiss Hotel is no exception. However in the context of the host country and Interlaken in particular, it is competitively priced. We paid extra to have a mountain view - and it was worth every penny. To stand on the balcony and listen to the sounds of the river and watch the ever changing vista of the mountains in general and the Jungfrau in particular is a delight. And to be a few hundred meters away from the busy main streets of the town is an advantage.The room was comfortable - though hot in the unexpectedly warm weather. The public rooms, lounge, dining room and garden are all furnished and decorated with taste to present a relaxing and comfortable environment. The staff are friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was a good start to the day with the choice of hot food and the cold buffet. All in all we were very happy with our choice of hotel and would happily return. We shall take note of the advice of the Manager and book far in advance to ensure we get the view we want.

We received a warm welcome on arrival and found the hotel staff very helpful throughout our three night stay. The hotel is next to the river Aare with direct access to the riverside footpath for access to the town centre and public transport - 10 minutes walk. Its in a quiet area away from the bustle of the main hotel strip. We had a room overlooking the river with a small balcony where we were able to sit out in the evenings. The room was clean and in good condition with plenty of space. Breakfasts were excellent - possibly the best in our week long Swiss trip. A set menu is offered in the evening which represented good value but we chose to eat elsewhere. A nice touch is the complimentary afternoon tea and cake. We had good weather during our stay with views through to the Jungfrau. However, somebody did allow a multi-storey hotel to be built in the town centre and while it does spoil a little what would otherwise be a perfect view.

Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The beautiful riverside location was excellent - a short walk to the station or into town. It was a bit noisy during our stay as children were running round the corridors but it was quiet after 11pm. I didn't notice any air conditioning so it might be rather hot in summer. We didn't use the nearby pool but this is an additional benefit of staying here...

Room was smaller and simpler than I expected, which makes in kind of pricey for what it is. However the room has all the amenities you would need, it is comfortable, warm and most rooms have an excellent view! The sound of the flowing river is nice too. Free Internet in the lounge, great breakfast in the dining room, coffee and cakes at 5 is nice. Extremely friendly and helpful staff, can offer advice on activities, make booking for you and even order a pizza!

The location is fantastic and we were fortunate to have a room with a view of the river. Rooms are comfortable but a bit sparse though we did not find that to be a problem. Breakfast was included and was very good. Free loaner bikes and staff is friendly and helpful. Only complaint is that the rooms are very warm and have no a/c. I saw this complaint prior to booking but figured since we were visiting in early May it would not be a problem. However, we were very uncomfortable, even sleeping with the door open. A fan in each room would be helpful and a window a/c unit even better.
