Macdonald Tickled Trout Hotel

Hotel is very tired! Rooms were ok (website photos are very definitely photo shopped!) Rooms were really hot despite the weather not being that hot, there was a fan in the room but that did little to cool the room down. Couldn't open windowsxas bugs/flies were flying around outside. Food was really good including breakfast but the breakfast staff were more interested in hiding round the corner chatting. Coukd be a fantastic venue but definitely needs updating.

Handy location

The location of the property was excellent . The view from the window was lovely. The bed was clean and comfortable

There was a dividing door in between our room and another and we could hear everything from the other room, when they put the television on it was like having the television on in our room. Our television remote did not work so we couldn’t change channels. There dried up noodles in our kettle . There was only one towel in the bathroom so we had to ask for another one and a clean kettle which to be fair were brought to us quite quickly . Also we had to pay for parking

View from room over the Ribble. 18 bird species identified! Restaurant food was quite good, though not exciting.

Bathroom was not as pristine as one would expect in a modern hotel. Bedroom and decor a little tired.

The hotel needs a make over. The carpets are thread bare. The towels have seen better days. The sink in the bathroom needs a dam good clean.

Nice hotel but had a long walk to room. Could do with more light in the room
