"I’m so glad I visited, I had a lovely time at the hotel and at the forest park."

Very friendly and helpful staff. Very good breakfast, in a lovely room. View of lake from bedroom was beautiful. Proximity to forest park was great.

Room was quite chilly when I arrived.

Fabulous location with great walks into the forest in the sunshine. We visit annually for an overnight. This was a special occasion & we got the star bedroom. Delicious food beautifully prepared & presented by Katie & her team with salads & flowers from their garden to enhance the meal.

We love every minute of our stay each time & do not want to leave.

Everything. A great hotel in a great location with really helpful staff. The hotel restaurant is second to none and serves really excellent well sourced food. One of the best restaurants we’ve eaten in. There’s also a fine range of West Cork whiskey served in the bar.

The staff, the location, the food, the atmosphere were all absolutely incredible. Neil and Katy were incredible hosts. It was my first time coming to Gougane Barra after hearing about it for the last nine years from my girlfriend. Needless to say I understand the hype
