Centara Villas Samui

I booked a week stay via Luxury Escapes in a Premium Deluxe Private Pool Villa. Unfortunately this was not as luxurious as I had expected. I had been there less than 4 hours and had moved rooms 3 times. The first was due to being allocated a room type that I did not book. Not a big deal however I wanted to ensure I was getting what I paid for and not taking someone else's room. The team were apologetic and moved me. The next room was more modern and spacious, however, when a squirrel appeared on the bed and ran around the room, I moved rooms again (it reminded me of the scene from National Lampoons Christmas Vacation..!). At this stage I just wanted a room that was fully enclosed with no bugs/animals so took a downgraded room type. The staff were excellent handling the situation and I thank them for that, especially helping cart my luggage around the property. The room I ended up in was ok. The pool was nice, room spacious, however the amenities were very old. It’s the little things that all add up, such as when you boil the kettle the handle also seemed to get boiling hot so you cannot use it, there was no hot water in the bathroom basin, the bedside lamps did not work, the tv did not work, the breakfast offering was very basic, however adequate for fruit and toast. The property is very rundown and needs to be given a lifeline. While the staff did all they could do, I did not feel comfortable and it wasn’t the pool villa holiday I had hoped for. Therefore I decided to cut short my stay and move on. As the title of this review says, if you enjoy the outdoors, basic amenities and nature, you will enjoy this property as it is surrounded (overgrown in parts) by jungle, mosquitoes, bugs and animals. If you do stay, I recommend the day spa, the massage treatment I had was excellent, thank you.

Good place to visit, relaxing and beautiful beach.

Centara Villas were comfortable and quiet. Food and drinks were great and staff were exceptional. Units are a little dated but the location makes this a little gem. Steps are everywhere but not steep and manageable. Would recommend for a quiet and restful holiday.

Personal Pool Zimmer

Very relaxed and friendly place tucked away from all the hustle and bustle. The staff were amazing and so friendly. This was our second visit. A real gem 😘

Just had a great massage with Fon. I came to the massage table with a lot of injuries in my calf muscles and I just told her that this is a sensitive area. So the massage was really well done because every time Fon got to a sensitive area she would just ease it off a little bit but where it needed to be really massaged Fon really put a lot of effort into it and the hands were ultimately very strong and quite appropriate when needed. I have a lot of shoulder issues particularly the back and she was able to identify without being told that there are some muscles near the scapula which really need to be massaged out and she really got to work on them which is fantastic. I didn’t realise it but I had a lot of spine stiffness in the thoracic region and she was able to also work this out really well and it feels great. The whole massage was slow and deliberate and really well done. I would highly recommend this Masseuse Fon

Staff are fabulous and resort is exactly what we needed for a recharge, by the sea and quiet..
