The Metropole Hotel

Excellent location in the heart of cork city with plenty of great restaurants and pubs within a stones throw distance. Staff were very friendly, chatty and helpful and there was a very cosy Christmas vibe around. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. While the hotel is located in the centre of the city, we were not disturbed by any street noise and had a great night sleep. The only reason the hotel the hotel did not get the five stars for me was the parking issue, The sign for the car park which no longer says its the metropole hotel car park said it was full and we were only told at checking in (and after parking the car at a nearby carpark for the night) that spaces are kept for guests.

We a group of 5 girls went to Metropole Hotel Cork on Saturday 5 December, the welcome the moment we entered the door and the fabulous girls at reception were so professional ,we had booked Christmas Party night and overnight bed and breakfast,the Party night 5 course meal and the entertainment especially Conrad we had great laugh and fun .The food on the night was exceptional and great night dancing .The breakfast was gorgeous and that egg Benedict to die for .The location of hotel 2 minutes to city center and the great value for money ,I recommend anyone staying in Cork to stay at the Metropole and the hotel looks outstanding all done up and fabulous Christmas 🎄 and all the staff made us so welcome

Had such a wonderful time here! The food was great and the staff were all so helpful. Emily at the front desk was so kind and really made my stay special :) I would definitely recommend to anyone thinking of making a trip here :)

Our family received a unique experience at our stay. Highest level of welcoming on our arrival. A huge thank you to our niece who happily lives near this location allowing us to enjoy best weekend at the Metropole.l Hotel Location was exceptional few mins walk to city center. Atmosphere was excellent. The staff were so kind and helpful with extra help we needed for our mam and dad . Beds were very comfortable breakfast was exceptional. Thank you so much to all such warm friendly sraff we met most wonderful experience will definitely look forward another stay.

Lovely hotel in a great location. Perfect for exploring everything the city has to offer. Our second time staying here. Would definitely recommend!

Highly recommend a stay in this absolutely fabulous hotel. Great location, really lovely atmosphere, and rooms were very clean. Staff were all so friendly, helpful and attentive.

This hotel is stunning and the location is perfect. Unfortunately, the size of the rooms shown on the website does not give a true indication of the actual size of the room. I booked a Signature room based on the Otterman at the end of the bed and assuming there would be extra space. My wife and i had room 207 and this room was super small and no Otterman at the end of the bed. If there was to be an Otterman at the end of the bed, we would have had to climb over it to get into the bathroom. I enquired at reception if we did have a Signature room and was told we did. I would not like to experience a Cosy City room as i believe this will be super small. I do believe that the photo's advertising the rooms on the website are not in line with the actual size of the room and creating a false expectation. Other than this, the Metropole Hotel is wonderful.

Excellent staff and brilliant location but bedrooms are a little tired and in need of a refurb. Breakfast was lovely. Would stay again though.

Very friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere. Good breakfast menu. Very clean. An enjoyable stay. Second time visiting in 3 months. Love this hotel.
