My husband and I have just returned from the most relaxing, luxurious and memorable stay at the Nutfield Priory Hotel and Spa. If you’re after a peaceful break in a beautifully aesthetic, historic building with stunning views, warm and attentive staff, exquisite fine dining (we had the 7-course tasting menu), silky smooth bedding, and spa amenities - it’s all here. Wherever possible, we prefer to take public transport, and as an added bonus, Nutfield is a short bus ride from Redhill station. After checking out and with the sun shining, we decided to walk off our hearty breakfast and head back on foot, which is also very doable. Thank you, Handpicked Hotels, for yet another great experience. We’ll be back!

A magnificent weekend had by all! Stayed with friends, the hotel staff went out of their way to make guests feel welcome and the service we received was outstanding! We stayed in Wordsworth which was amazing and had the most fabulous view across the Surrey Hills! The food was delicious and great choices both at breakfast and dinner! The restaurant is stunning and a big thank you to Kellie for the warmest welcome you could ever receive and to the two outstanding members of the team George and Alfie - they were brilliant!! Absolutely loved our stay and hope to return again soon!

I attended my friends wedding along with my wife on 13/03/26 hosted at Nutfield Priory hotel and spent the night in one of the lovely rooms. The venue was absolutely incredible and the staff were absolutely amazing.The team did a fantastic job on welcoming all the guests and the attention to detail on all setting and seating areas was breathtaking. The service received from the team was nothing short of phenomenal. The reception staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. The co ordinator was incredibly helpful and very professional and his hospitality was superb. The service team were world class, in particular Alfie , Jose and the third gentleman on the team were all absolutely outstanding. All 3 staff provided speedy service of refreshments and foods whilst being incredibly professional and friendly. Each staff member making the efforts of getting to know guests and creating a unique atmosphere and personal experience. Fantastic service and great experience all round from a team that does the venue a huge credit.

My son and his wife stayed for 2 nights and they said everything was amazing. We joined them today for Sunday lunch with some of our family. Superb setting. Quality of food was great The price for 3 courses is unbelievably good. Staff were so attentive Highly recommend Definitely coming back Big Thank You!!!!

Fancy surroundings and nice afternoon tea. Good excuse to dress nicely and have a relaxed time with family with.

Excellent staff, all very friendly and couldn’t do enough for you. Ate a beautiful meal in the restaurant, great wine list, our waiter Alfie was fantastic. We shall definitely be returning.

My wife and I stayed at Nutfield, while visiting family in the area. We have used the hotel several times before but this is my first review. The location is excellent for visiting my family, but more importantly for the reader , it is also very convenient for Gatwick. On arrival the reception staff were, and always have been excellent. The hotel itself is steeped in history and for those who like 'pre-modern' is a wonderful place to stay. Our room was well furnished, comfortable and quiet. We ate in the bar area and had an acceptable dinner (a little costly for what we had but not too exorbitant). Breakfast was a highlight and as well as really good fare and service, the view from the cloisters where breakfast takes place is worth the cost of the stay. There is a very good Spa, which is adjacent to the hotel (a short walk outside is needed to access). The pool and jacuzzi were used and were very good. Changing rooms were well fitted out and clean. We are planning to stay again, in January 2026. Lovely place. Lovely staff. Enough said.

We stayed at Nutfield Priory Hotel & Spa near Redhill and had a suite with the most beautiful view. The outlook from the room — and especially at breakfast — was incredible. In the morning, the mist and low cloud made it feel as though you were floating above the landscape. The suite was large, spacious, and comfortable, with a good overall standard. Food and drinks in the bar are very expensive, and the quality probably didn’t fully justify the pricing. The spa facilities are good, though it’s worth noting that the spa is separate from the main hotel and requires walking outside, which may be inconvenient depending on the weather. I had a massage, which was very good. Overall, a lovely stay for the views and setting, ideal for a relaxing break, though the high food and drink prices are something to factor in.

What a brilliant time we had at Nutfield priory. A gothic priory originally dating back to the 13C however it is not the official priory which is in redhill but was once a very grand estate, much of the land was sold off to pay death duties. Arrived for the 2 day festive Xmas package and entered our room to find our own Xmas tree and xmas present with treats. Wonderful. Arrived Xmas eve lunchtime to a wonderful relaxing massage in preparation for the next two days. Christmas Eve afternoon with tea and plenty of scones, cream and jam. Evening started with canapés and plenty of champagne along with a good ol’ sing song of carols with the local choir. This was followed by a multi-course dinner. The venison was superbly cooked and the cut was exquisitely tender. Along with a wine flight throughout the meal. Super service and very friendly helpful staff. Bed after 11pm. Xmas day , the morning saw father Xmas working his magic around the hotel going from room to room where the children were. Fabulous Mimosa champagne breakfast nothing was too difficult. Short rest before our 5 course lunch which lasted from 12:30 to 4:30 no rush delicious XMAS lunch. Time to recover before having a grand evening buffet and a few Xmas drinks to finish by midnight! Arise Boxing Day for another wonderful breakfast. We want to say a big thank you to all the staff that served us. It was they that made Xmas, full of smiles , cheer, cheekiness, wit served with professionalism. Mustn’t forget the team in the kitchen who were relentlessly on top of their game to keep everyone happy and served. So big thanks , as they need a mention to ……Elisa, Maria, Zoltan, Alfie ( whom our friend had a special fondness for !) , Norbert, Andrea, Audrey with her fabulous posh Californian Yorkshire accent ( the happy grinch :) ) , Lauren with her great smiley Mancunian accent George, Stremi, Alek, Jose, Kellie, Anke and Abdul chief elf, great host with an awesome team. We were even taught a bit of Hungarian in the bar, she was great. And of course to everyone else I haven’t mentioned who made it a great for us all. Thank you Nutfield for a fab Xmas. We hope they all have a great Xmas
