Helpful staff

We was having a bathroom fitted at home so stayed there for a week . The bar advertised a bottle of wine £12? So I asked for one we haven’t had one in all year? The bottles are £28 or£32 ?.the bar staff kept disappearing and the was sitting in the reception watching tv or on the phone or better still in the bar playing darts? I went down to the bar one night about 9.30 ordered a drink and as I am sitting down the bar staff is walking out with a till ? The bar is shut but did not inform us ? We got there on the 26th may and the room had reasonable facilities but on day two I asked one of the cleaners are you doing our room she said I will have to look on the list? But as she is walking away I heard her saying we are short staffed we can’t get everywhere?day three room still not cleaned so I went to reception he got us toiletries and bits? Day 4 no towels I asked the cleaners are you doing our room I will have to look at the list? Went to reception got some towels day 5 and 6 same again no cleaning of the room I went to reception and complained we seen the area manager who was staying there luckily for the night guess what the beds was changed new towels and all the toiletries filled I said a bit of hospitality like a knock on the door are you ok do you need anything is a easy hit we was staying there for a week and not having any body come to the room to clean up was shocking.we went to the bar that evening and I got charged 2 different prices for the same drinks I asked why one said the highest price was correct? The girl bartender went missing I think she was getting bits ready for the breakfast tables ?

The rooms were not as clean as they could be- there was hair all over the floor. The bathroom ws ok but again, needed a good, deep clean. There were scuffs and marks on walls. The room door was hard to open. No food was available after 8pm- not great.

Breakfast was good

My room had no fridge which I paid for. Toilet in room 27 didn't flash well. Children were running on the corridor at night disturbing

Shower did not work Bathroom dirty Air fryer in room dirty Not enough for breakfast Staff rude Noisy people in room next to us Banging doors all night .

Not stayed here in several years.We were a bit hesitant due to all social media comments.Its had a make over since we last stayed.Looks great on arrival.We had a super king room,on first glance its looked good, but could of done with more of a clean,Bits still left on the carpet,bottle tops on the floor,part of the fridge just left on the side. Bed was big and comfy,but had no pillow or mattress protectors on.Noise was on and off from 2.30am.We could hear the lift being used & people walking about The bar could do with better options for drinks,We ended up going elsewhere to eat drink.Staff very friendly.
