"Disappointing"

6.0

Walking distance to everything and room to move.

Beds were uncomfortable and no restaurant available and the staff couldn’t find the glasses when we went to have a drink in the bar and had difficulty getting us ice. No atmosphere

"In need of investment but good for a few days in Shrewsbury."

7.0

The Lion is in the centre of Shrewsbury and couldn`t be more centrally located. Close to everything. The staff were superb; very kind and helpful. Clean and quiet.....very quiet.

Lumpy mattress which couldn`t be replaced, weak WiFi signal, no kitchen or restaurant, lack of alcohol in the bar.

"Worn out and musty."

4.0

Good location, staff polite.

Don’t go by the photos, the entire place needed a renovation 5 years ago, it’s very tired with thread showing through the carpet throughout. My toilet was cracked in numerous places, how it held water ? No hot water one morning, place smelt musty and old, not fresh but it is an old building, I half expected the place to be haunted it’s that old n musty.
