Alta Peruvian Lodge

Great place to stay if you want to ski hard go to bed early after too many beers and soaking in a giant pool/hot tub. Food is included and is quite good. Not good for young children. Generally tons of fun and a great place to get together with old friends for a ski trip.

My wife felt like at a high school camp again. Small room. Shared bathroom/showers. The hotel makes up for it with large common spaces and a very friendly atmosphere. Log fire in the lobby. Bottomless coffee/ hot chocolate. Complementary breakfast (buffet), lunch (buffet) and dinner. Good variety of food; but we did not quite enjoy the over-sweetened dinner entrees. Dinner booking is a little frustrating though; long line at breakfast to book in an early time. Shared dinner table; great to mingle with other guests. Free shuttle down/back from Snowbird. Enjoy the hot tub in the snow. Very friendly staff.

The staff is friendly and very responsive to any request. I enjoyed the stay and sharing with others during the dinner.

Great location, great staff, good food. Infrastructure horrible. The hotel is very old, dirty and the rooms are in a bad condition. We booked for 3 guests and got a tiny room with two narrow beds. They would place a roll bed in the room, but then we had literally to walk on the beds in order to move in the room and there was no space to put our staff. Ok if the hotel would have been cheap, but no way this is even 20% value of the $750 a day that we paid. After one hour it was clear we can't stay there and Expedia was great in finding another hotel, unfortunately far away from Alta. The refund policy of the hotel was bad, theoretically no refund at all for the whole stay, but Expedia could negotiate 50%.

no elevators lots of stairs at the end of the days skiing, the food was good people were pleasant.
