The Imperial Crown Hotel

Great location for attending an event at the Piece Hall.

Nothing. Great price. Couldn't fault it.

The hotel Staff were warm and friendly, and cannot fault the location.

On arrival was impressed with reception area clean fresh and modern, but on entry to the room wow what a difference, room was very dated filthy carpets need to be ripped up huge circular stains, checked sheets they were clean the room decor was plain but in need of refurbish bathroom grout tiles were chipped or dirty,large tv sat in front of dresser mirror, so couldn't use this to do hair or makeup. I would advise anyone thinking of staying here to look else where, it is a budget rooms. They also take a deposit, they say it is released on departure at 11 am i checked out 3 days ago still waiting for it to be returned to my bank.

We came out of the train station and it was there was right next to the Piece Hall for a gig we had there fantastic location

Shabby, torn bedding, dirty carpets, peeling paper. The meal was an Indian buffet and was awful.

Waiting for £100 " deposit" to be refunded ( after messaging hotel, to enquire,over 6 hours?? )

Location brilliant! Opposite the railway station and 100yds from the South Gate to the Piece Hall. Very happy.

The evening meal was a little disappointing. 2 curry’s, one tofu ( I think) and one lamb. Rice, cold spring rolls. Cold Cheese & mushroom pasty which actually tasted okay. Choice of flavoured ring doughnut for dessert.

Great location for piecehall events. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Room slightly dated and could do with a wee paint etc however was spotless.

The location is perfect for a visit to the Peice Hall.

I booked a twin room for my cousin and myself last November, as we had tickets for an event. On arrival there was no twin room for us and we had to share a small double. Not good enough really.

Very Close to the Piece Hall where we were watching a gig. Staff were super friendly and helpful particularly at breakfast… nothing was too much trouble. Room was very clean but there was some peeling wallpaper and it was a little dated but honestly fine. I’d read reviews saying beds were uncomfortable but this was not a problem we had.

The powers of dynamic pricing. Usually this room would be c£70…. We paid c£180 due to hotel demand in Halifax for the gig. I guess we didn’t have taxi fares from outside Halifax. Someone knocked on our door at 5am…. We’d only to bed at 2am so that was a rude awakening. We just shouted wrong room and hoped it wasn’t a fire call!
