The Imperial Crown Hotel

Fab location for Piece Hall, train station and the local pubs and shops. Very comfortable bed. Staff very friendly. Lots of tea and coffee.

Bathroom very dated, mould on ceiling and walls, cracks in shower tray, dirty floor, stains on walls, half used toilet rolls. No fan in very hot room. Dusty extractor fan. No hairdryer. Minimal plug sockets in random places. Half board options minimal, pizza or 2 curry dishes which were cold. No labels on food, pet hate for a vegetarian! On site bar advertised 20% off drinks which after ordering was told not on a Saturday. Didn't see breakfast after reading reviews, noticed 2 metal trays at 9am so god knows what was in there. Paid £145 expected so much more, was very disappointed and would not recommend this hotel if paying over £50. Wish we'd have stayed further out and paid for a taxi.

Had everything you wanted, location perfect , staff were lovely and very helpful, especially Michael on reception, we asked so many questions and he had all the answers , he was very happy to help 😃

The hotel cancelled my booking on the date of arrival, i'm still waiting for a refund, spoken the hotel on several occasions and emailed them directly but no one returns calls or mail

The rooms are in desperate need of refurbishment. Very very tired, even a screw at head height sticking out the wall. Was not made aware of a £100 security deposit required on check in. For what I paid (£10 less than the local Premier Inn when parking was added) I was very disappointed. The website photos are very deceptive.

Lovely staff, clean and spacious room and ensuite, comfy beds, amazing location for The Piece Hall. Really good value for money too.
