Ramada by Wyndham Crawley Gatwick

Rooms do not have air-conditioning and only a basic fan to counter the heat coming through the window due to direct sunlight. Leaving the window open is the only way to bring fresh air in to the room. The hotel do not stock any bottled water and the concierge directed me across the street to a take-away outlet. There are a number of rowdy guests who can be heard shouting outside in the car park area and/or in the corridors.

Ideal location for Gatwick. As we would normally stay at Gatwick and then travel for food and some drinks. This is ideal location for bars and restaurants(there are plenty) it’s a tired property but the prices reflect this so don’t expect savoy rooms on a little budget.

Stayed here as my wife had an interview at a local company and the room was booked by the company. Don’t be put off by the out of the way car park and car cleaning crew in the car park. Just on the edge of Crawley city centre this Tudor hotel offers an easy 5min walk into the centre. It is a Tudor style building and the age dictated the decor and style. Unfortunately for us the previous guest left the room on FULL HEAT which meant the room was a hit box! Evening opening the Windows did not cool it down. This made for an uncomfortable nights sleep which I suppose isn’t really the hotels fault (no Aircon in room). Plenty on offer to eat just outside hotel from take away to restaurants. Hotel is also known as The George Hotel

Excellent value hotel located in the centre of town and walking distance from shops, bars and restaurants. Shame about all the restrictions in place, which made it far less enyoyable than it should have been.

Arrived at the hotel but there's no instructions on the confirmation to find the car park. The staff member was of little help and refused to let me in without wearing a mask (fair enough though I am exempted and wear a lanyard) I'm sure he could have found a way to help instead of being so useless. The bouncer at the pub associated to the hotel was considerably more helpful and eventually found the wasteland they call a car park at the rear of the hotel. Checked in with no offer of help with bags no recognition of frequent guest card and no offer of where to eat this evening either. Quite frankly the person on duty was an utter embarrassment to his company. Dragged cases to the superior room and was instantly transported to the 70s. Coincidentally the last time it felt the mattress had been changed too. It was ridiculously uncomfortable and the room hotter than satan's armpit. Worst still the extremely loud noise from the adjoining pub would have been a huge issue had it not been for covid. If you want a bad hotel, with terrible staff and standards so low they're invisible this is your place. Otherwise if you actually want to get some sleep book elsewhere.

Very central location, many pubs nearby, they upgraded me.

Its ok ...not quite Ramada group as a whole. You could pay a little more for a lot better

Shocking ! Rats, hotel in a poor condition, bin men turned up at 5.30, emptied glass bins, on both weeks of stay, dont worrg about anybody sleeping. Second week different room, i had rats out of the window !!!

Rats out the window second week, first week of bins, and the joys of the bin men at 5.30 am emptying glass bins, door to hotel broken, about i hinges holding it together, underside of walk way all smashed, looks like ready to fall down.

The receptionist came from behind the desk to show us to our room! I found that very pleasant and polite as the gentleman himself!
