Himley Country Hotel

No hot water which was unexpected.

To be honest nothing, the only reason I stayed the one night I booked was because nothing else had vacancies. After seeing the room I tried sourcing something nearby but couldn’t.

The carpet was filthy and threadbare in places, the decor was slapdash. The bath had mildew all around the sealant and the toilet sealant was brown with urine staining. I pulled back the bedding and the covers were stained. The whole building had a musty, damp smell. The man behind reception was asleep at the desk when I handed the keys back at 7.30 in the morning because I wanted to get out of there as soon as possible.

Nothing

Everything Room was dirty, dead flies on the window sill corridor smelt of cigarettes Room smelt of damp Bed didn't even feel like it had a mattress on it TV didn't work Had to sit sideways kn the toilet as the towel radiator blocks access. Spent 10 minutes there ans then my partner said we had a family emergency. Get better Hotels in Blackpool and cheaper. Absolutely disgusting hotel and would not recommend.

Bed linen and towels were clean.

Other than the hall, the place needed serious renovation. Any repairs were bodged, silicon sealant used to "fix" items that needed replacement, doors repaired with filler, damaged double glazed window units etc. The place felt dangerous. A number of local people I spoke to were horrified that I was staying there. I'm told illegal immigrants are housed there but I can't confirm that. Does Booking.com no favours.
