The room was very clean and clearly had just be renovated

The wet room never dried in 2 day needs something to dry the floor and somewhere to hang towels and a shelf to put your own toiletries on. The room was very cold when we first arrived maybe need extra blankets as well or the heating on before check in

The dark haired lady on reception was fantastic after the blonde lady was rude abrupt and messed up our room where we changed rooms came back after a long day and the room we were given had somebody else’s belongings

The room booking chaos

The only positives were that the room seemed recently renovated and the shower pressure was good. Overall a disappointing stay. The Wi-Fi barely reached the room and disconnected every few minutes. Our room was extremely far away with no directions on how to get to it, and the hallways were FREEZING and smelled smokey. Despite booking a double room for two guests, there was only one towel and it was covered in yellow stains. We asked reception for a replacement but no one ever brought it, so we eventually had to walk back ourselves to get clean towels. Parking also costs extra and there was construction going on during our stay. The smart TV didn't allow Netflix or other smart features and froze most of the time. Both bedside lights were broken, and with no big light over the bed it made it very dark! In the morning, cleaners propped open a fire door opposite our room which beeped every 20 seconds and kept us awake all morning. Rolling bathroom door had no lock and would just slide open randomly. Reception was also quite rude when we arrived just four minutes before check-in!

Friendly staff, good breakfast and newly updated room

Not being made aware that our room was at the end of a diversion due to renovations (240) and was quite a distance from reception with the diversions, should have been made aware and checked regarding ability that would be ok. Once we got to our room we also didn't have enough towels for us both (1 to share?!) and we weren't willing to make our long walk to reception to ask for another and had no signal to call from our mobiles.

The room backed onto another business who started making LOTS of noise at 5.30am each morning

This place give off a haunted spooky vibe it smelt like their was rotting in the building and looked like it has been abandoned for years I would rather sleep in a bus stop then ever stay in this place again it was the worst experience of my life worse hotel ever.

Bar staff friendly and evening meal was good.

Not advised about refurbishment works, rerouting signage extremely poor making it a challenge to navigate to our room! The customer checking out before us was asked how was their stay, we weren't!
