Hyatt Place Nashville Airport

I would not recommend this hotel based on my stay. We arrived from the airport around 6:30 p.m. expecting to order dinner at the on-site restaurant, but it was closed and there was no room service available, so we ate off property. In addition, the TV in our room had no signal. When we asked for help, the front desk employee suggested pressing the back button twice and then selecting channel 22, but that did not resolve the issue. When I raised the problem again, the response was limited to an apology, with no follow-up or offer of assistance. The property also seems to need updates and better upkeep. The carpet did not appear freshly cleaned, and several items in the room and common areas showed noticeable wear (seating in the dining area, no in-room safe, a loose bathroom door handle, and a window covering that needed attention). The sofa also appeared to need cleaning. To be fair, we did receive daily housekeeping and the beds were made each day; however, overall upkeep and cleanliness did not meet expectations. This was our first time staying at a Hyatt, and we expected a higher standard. I later learned the property may be independently owned while operating under the Hyatt name; if so, I hope the brand can help ensure a more consistent guest experience across its flagged properties.

I chose to spend a little extra money to stay at the Hyatt and in retrospect I should have saved the $50 and stayed at another hotel. The only good thing about it was the location to the airport. Our room was dirty and the bed’s uncomfortable. The wallpaper in the bathroom was stapled up. There were questionable stains on the bedding that were just gross. The breakfast was not good. Overall, this Hyatt doesn’t deserve the name and do yourself a favor and save the money and stay at another hotel.
