Holiday Inn Express & Suites Tell City by IHG

My only complaint is the giant spider who greeted me at the coffee machine inside room 123. I was able to flush it down the toilet. The a/c works very well. The noise was a little distracting but I just turned up the TV or my phone. The pool was crowded every day except Sunday night. I was pleased to get a few laps in. Beware of Indiana special soup at local churches around the area. It made me sick. It does have a certain swimming reptile inside the soup. The shower was very good. The bathroom was big since I got the handicapped room. Housekeeping barged into my room on the first day. Luckily I had the top chain on. I put the NO Housekeeping tag on the door and the Do NOT disturb sign. I like the duvets on the beds. The employees were super nice. They found my brother’s money on the floor and gave it back to him. I appreciate the free breakfast when the unsupervised kids are not attacking the food.

The breakfast was great and the staff was super friendly and helpful!

The hotel was a little shabby here and there but for the most part it was decent for just an over night stay. The beds were very firm, hurt my back though.

The hallways and the room had a weird odor. Our sheets were stained. There were ants in the bed and bathroom. There were all types of stuff under the beds. The breakfast the next morning was mediocre. I would not return.

Very nice hotel. Staff were great and they had several staff on site. Breakfast was yummy and clean. Rooms were nice and spacious and Beds slept good. Very nice hotel over all. Gym was nice too. Several restaurants and shopping nearby too. We will be back

The room was absolutely disgusting when we got there. Food and wrappers all over the floor. No toilet paper in the bathroom and poop on the toilet. We did check in early but they said the rooms were clean and ready. As this was not a must to check in early. We arrived earlier than expected and decided to ask. When we got back late from our destination that night we realized the pullout bed had not been cleaned in who knows how long which resulted in one person sleeping on the couch as a couch. The sheets were smelly. Had stained and were literally rolled in a ball in the couch. It was absolutely gross. We almost noticed ANTs all cover the room. They ended up in our clothes and bags. We didn’t have any open food or drinks in the room because we were grossed out about our arrival. We had two rooms the other rooms bathroom did not drain water out do the tub for hours and smelled. The towels also had holes in them.

The girl working the front desk was nice.

I looked under the bed and there was trash and spider webs.. it was very overpriced for the room we got. The air conditioning didn't work well. There were spiderwebs in the corner of the shower. There was a bug just sitting on the wall right by the front desk..not a little bug either. Told them (I assume the manager guy or owner maybe?) And his response was just "yeah I saw that"

Staff was extremely helpful and friendly from the walk through the door! Very clean and comfortable rooms.

The TV was a little hard to navigate.
