JW Marriott Phuket Resort & Spa

We have been here twice now in the past 6 months. It’s easy to get to from the airport and a quiet place to relax. We have loved everything about the facility - the rooms are good size, the grounds are well taken care of, tons of choices and price points for food, things for the kids, nice facilities for adults like the spa and gym, kayaking and a dive shop, a kids club, etc. They make it easy for everyone to have a nice vacation. We used the concierge both times to help us book our trips and they did an outstanding job. I have to specifically mention Oy who remembered us our second time and genuinely cared that we had a good time. She is extremely personable and kind and does her job really well. We will definitely be back again - it’s a top spot for the whole family.

Wow! What a wonderful 5 night stay. Thank you to the entire staff who understands that small things do make a big difference. Yes the property is 25 years old, but it does not look that way. Super clean and well kept. Thank you to Mr Hitesh who took time to listen to all of our positive comments. His staff is well trained. This is the best JW we have stayed in ever and this is coming from a Lifetime Titanium Member who has stayed in Marriott properties all over the world. Breakfast at the JW Cafe’ was exceptional. Ladda our waitress made each morning special. Cin and Dadda went above and beyond at the Cafe’ as well. Again it was the little details. I said, do you have a bit of salmon and immediately it appeared. Our room, a pool access room, was super clean. Thank you to Fah for servicing our room so well. Perfect! She made it personal for us leaving special touches. The Andaman Grill was very nice. We enjoyed a cocktail in the new bar area there before dinner. I do not recall our server or the bar attendant, but both were fabulous. Thank you Ice for helping us upon arrival and Baron upon checkout. Both know how to move through the process efficiently with a personal touch. If you are considering a trip to Phuket give this location a great consideration. I give it 5 stars plus. B. G.

1. Старый отель, хоть это и не бросается сильно в глаза, но все равно старый 2. Не понимаю как такое возможно, что в 5* отеле может не хватать лежаков и их необходимо занимать в 7 утра, бронируя полотенцами на лежак! Это бред!!! Такого не должно быт, просто потому что не должно быть! Стыд и позор!

The hotel is very nice with a beautiful djungel like park and separate pool for adults. The beds were amazingly comfortable. The service at JW Marriott blew our minds!!! We received handwritten notes referring to a special need and the staff knew our names after just one day!!! Thank you Gift, Megan and Tatjana for this surprising experience.

Boy the best animator, amazing hotel

We had an amazing time joining the hotel’s Nature Explorer activity! A big thank you to Korn, who was incredibly patient, kind, and attentive with our child throughout the whole experience. He took great care of the kids, kept them engaged, and made the activity fun and memorable. We truly appreciated his warm companionship and professional guidance. Highly recommend this activity to families staying here!

I had a wonderful experience with the hotel’s tennis coaching service. The knockers are knowledgeable, friendly, and tailor the practice to different skill levels, especially Leem who I played with twice during my stay. The court is in great condition, and the whole service is efficient and thoughtful. Definitely a great highlight of my stay!

A very average hotel with dysfunctional service and bad planning. When checking in many people did not have rooms available for them despite it being after 3pm. Desk staff response is simply to apologise for everything but they never knew when rooms would be available, just soon, sorry sorry. Also front desk often under-staffed throughout the day with several counters being empty despite quite a few people waiting for service. Restaurants often have no space available until late in the evening, which is obviously not ideal if you have young children. When arriving in the hotel they did not inform that the restaurants need booking early. The pool runs out of towels, also not an ideal situation. The majority of staff are very pleasant but their ability to deal with any of these issues is usually ‘don’t know’….. e.g. “when will towels be available… don’t know.” Not very helpful at all. There are a handful of staff that are however much better trained at dealing with situations - the hotel needs more of these. Overall a pretty poor experience and definitely the worst JW I have ever stayed in. Dont think I would return - would much prefer to try another Phuket hotel next time.
