Baymont by Wyndham Pierre

The hotel is tired. Carpets were dirty and stained, things were broken, no soap in the bathroom, and the air/heating was loud. There was little to no breakfast. OJ was water. No coffee or milk. We will never stay here again.

I stopped to see if any rooms were available - after 9 pm. The attendant was already being very confusing and rude to the guy in front of me so I pulled the place up online. It had a room with a rate of $85 for the night. I asked the attendant what her rate was - $105 - so I proceeded to book the room online. She told me I would not be able to check into the room for at least 2 hours as it takes that long to get to them...what a joke! I cancelled the online booking (see below), left and booked a room down the street.

Parking was plentiful. Room was clean staff was helpful.

When we walked in there was a couch with a young girl overweight greasy hair playing on her phone . There was a sign that read “ pick up phone for service “ I did and then and only then did she get off the couch . We filled out one paper with all the info I gave on Expedia again . Then she gives us another page to write the same information as we just wrote so this would have been 3 times . When I remarked she could just copy the info onto other paper she replies “ I am only doing my job and I don’t need any attitude from you ! We left and went somewhere else.

At check in, no one was at the desk. I picked up the phone as instructed by a sign that was posted. The front desk lady got up from a lobby chair and said "im the one that will assist you" as she watched me walk in. Proceeded to tell me "whe had a headache and hates when people spam the phone." She was also extrememly unclean, strong body odor, sloppy and overall unprofessional. Our room was clean, but the bathroom/shower room lightbulb had burned out. My husband went to the front desk to get a replacement so he could just change it. The front desk told him she didnt know where to get lightbulbs and would have maintenance come do it when they got there, within an hour. No one came. So after camping and hunting for 2 days, we chose to take showers in the dark. The morning of checkout was great. The gal working was great at her job, cared what guests needed and ensured everyone was taken care of. She needs a raise, others need to be cut loose.

I didn’t like that there was no elevator & no coffee pots in the rooms & the TV didn’t work.
