Bit far from the town centre.

Just come back from a 2 night B&B break with my wife and son. We really enjoyed our stay and the hotel has many positives such as: Location is great, just a lovely 20 minute walk into town down country lanes. Large, free car park. Room was very clean as were the communal areas. Friendly staff. Nice coffee machine in the restaurant. For us, what spoiled our stay was the breakfast experience, ie: Poor choice of cereals. Cereals spilt all over the self service area. Poor selection of fruit. Had to ask for the hot food to be replenished both days. Fried eggs thrown together in a container making it virtually impossible to separate them. Orange juice empty. Just the one sad looking pastry on offer. Serving utensils soiled with food which put us off using them. Lots of dirty plates and cups on the tables waiting to be collected (hardly saw any staff) Had the breakfast been better we would have no hesitation in staying again but sadly we probably wont.

It’s was close to bury town

Not a lot of staff on breakfast on the Monday was cleared up by 9.15 so no toast or pastry. Are room we keep finding hair clips on the floor about 10 of them so the room was not cleaned properly

Could be better - no staff around at breakfast and the bacon was not well cooked. There was NO loo brush in the bathroom

Too hot in the room, but fans provided.

We stay at The Dragonfly quite often when visiting family. This time we had one of the new 'standard double' rooms and we were very pleased.

Location was excellent. Nice walk into Bury St Edmunds took around 20 mins. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was shabby, heavy duvet and flat pillows meant I had an awful night’s sleep. Coffee and tea were basic. Bathroom was tiny. Sheets were clean as were the towels. Took nearly an hour for food to arrive in the evening despite it not being busy. Breakfast was passable. Hot foods were tasty but cereal, fruit, bread, yogurt and pastry selection was paltry. I won’t be returning!
