Old Parsonage Hotel

Beautiful old hotel in a great location down the street from Oxford. We had a room on the top floor - lots of stairs, but air conditioning worked great. Very clean. We stayed 1 night. Breakfast was delicious.

Lovely hotel with great location. Deluxe room was very nice and was spacious enough for 2. Bathroom was modern and again, spacious enough. My favorite mention of this hotel is their bedding. It is spectacular! The sheets are the softest. It's the most comfortable bedding I have experienced in my many hotel stays. Breakfasts were only fair as the cooking was uneven from day to day but the service by staff was always very good. The only negative for us was the narrow and steep stairways throughout the hotel which felt a bit precarious at times. Not the fault of the hotel, but if you are "older" you may want to request a ground floor.

Clean, comfortable and the most delicious biscuits. The restaurant serves delicious food.

The stairs are a bit tricky if your knees aren’t up to it, or if you have lots of luggage.

Room was upgraded and very comfortable and stylish. Breakfast fresh with good variety of options. The Breakfast/Dining area is elegant and comfortable. Love all the artwork throughout the hotel. Staff helpful. Charming hotel and front patio lovely to sit out and enjoy dinner or have a cocktail.

Lovely boutique hotel in a quiet part of Oxford close to the city center and attractions. The original building is from the 1600s and they maintained the charm and character but updated it in an elegant and thoughtful way. Rooms were small but very nicely decorated and furnished and the bathrooms were updated and very tasteful. Blenheim Palace drinking water in glass bottles was provided free in the rooms along with milk. A small fridge and coffee and tea were also provided. They have a very nice bright library with comfy couches where you can meet up with your traveling companions and some small historical displays in some of the hallways. There is a nice patio restaurant and and indoor dining area but we didn't eat there. We were able to get a reduced rate through an Expedia sale.

This is a special inn. It's worth it to go to Oxford just to stay here. It's the thoughtful touches that make it a wonderful stay: the sensor night lights in the bathroom, the French press and coffee in the room. But it's the art that makes this inn exceptional. The Twentieth Century portraits that adorn the walls are captivating. I live in Maine, US, but will find a way to return to Oxford to have another stay here.
