Regency Park Hotel

The hotel was fairly clean with a nice spacious room. Room phone doesn’t work and there is no room service. Overall staff were friendly. Gym could do with a good makeover

Not a 4*. This place is dreadful, signage to the rooms is poor, lifts were broken without notice given at time of booking and we had elderly family members who struggled with all the stairs and were not moved to a more accessible room, reception staff have to be shouted for as they are sat watching tv behind a wall, handymen started pulling up slabs in the car park outside the rooms at 07:30 on a Saturday morning without any consideration for the sleeping guests. The spa is ok but again receptionist never there to provide towels or directions for anything, i had to reach over the desk for my own towel on every entry, and you need cash for the lockers but nobody tells you any of that.

I stayed at the Regency Park Hotel for one night on my way down to Southampton for a cruise. Overall, it was a good experience and I would happily return. I had dinner in the bar area, and what really stood out was the service – particularly from a lovely waitress named Chloe. She had a genuine passion for customer care and really made my evening feel special. It’s refreshing to come across staff who go the extra mile, especially when it’s clear the hotel is a little understaffed. That said, the team members I interacted with clearly did their best, and that effort didn’t go unnoticed. The food was very good and the prices were reasonable – no complaints there. The hotel itself could benefit from a bit of TLC in the corridors and rooms, but nothing major that affected my comfort. The young man on reception was also very welcoming and made check-in a breeze. All in all, a pleasant stopover with great service from some real stars on the team. Would come back again.

Hotel room was lovely, nice size, the hotel itself could be a little cleaner. Bar very pricey, outdoor seating could be lovely. Pool and spa was good, massage was amazing. For the price it was a good hotel stay.

Breakfast a little cold but decent choice and room clean. Bedroom was lovely and spacious. All staff were amazing.

This is NOT a 4* hotel, its barely a 2*. The service is poor due to low staffing numbers and the sheer arrogant attitude of srveral of the male staff who were rude and unhelpful. During my stay, the lift wasn't working and noone on reception offered to help with bags. I saw elderly people struggling. The jacuzzi was closed 'because someone had got in the sandy feet' so it was closed Fri to Sun, so clearly they have no maintenance team. The poolside was so slippery, one of my friends slipped and fell, fortunately without causing a serious injury (and reported it, but wasnt offered first aid). Another friend subsequently the hotel to Environmental Health, who visited immediately, due to the unsafe state of the pool, especially the steps in / out. The only redeeming factor was their lovely therapist. I had an excellent massage in the treatment rooms, by a therapist who is a Reiki Master. It needs investment in health and safety and ALL the staff need customer service training.

Absolutely amazing stay!! Staff were very welcoming and helpful will definitely be booking another trip very soon
