Regency Park Hotel

Room a little dirty in the bathroom on the shower curtain mainly. Beds really comfortable and so quiet too. Bar is nice

Pre booking asked about early check in for a wedding.Told yes call back with reservation and would arrange x2 rooms early 12:30. This was arranged so. Arrived rooms not ready and told £40 early checking fee per room 😳😡 After some discussion, a room made available and no fee. Poor management, lack of communication or profiteering? Not happy either way! Room turned out to be far too warm for comfortable sleeping … had not been aired, although a noisey useless fan was available. Not a hot summers day either .. about 20c. Breakfast full English good but average otherwise. Not a hotel we will be returning too and certainly not a good 4* based on our experience.

The hotel was ok, No aircon and the room was like a sauna. Luckily I’d done some research before going and took my own portable aircon unit. The thermometer on it read 32, the machine only reads up to 32 so make of that as you wish. The bathtub plug was a mess, room 246 if the hotel is reading this. Full of hairs that made the bath tub fill up when having a shower. WiFi is good, beds are comfortable and breakfast is above average, gym was okay and pool area was nice.. I expected just more from a 4 star hotel.

Nobody on reception when we arrived and nobody at the bar to serve a drink, we waited approx 10 minutes at the bar

On arrival, receptionist was not very happy. I had to use both hands with all my strength to open the room door, I assume new carpets but door should be skimmed. Was on the ground floor and the people above kept me up until 2am, I did also call reception at 1am. No aircon, which I knew but when I asked for a fan I was told there was one in the cupboard (which there was not). Overall experience not great, more than likely won’t use again.

Lovely large room nice and clean, great swimming pool and facilities all lovely and clean. The restaurant was a little disappointing, slow service considering there was only us in the restaurant and the staff weren’t very attentive. Others everything lease was great and we would return :)

Nice hotel, really comfortable room, efficient staff. All in all recommended.

The hotel itself was good but the cleanliness of our room was disappointing. we had pillows covered in questionable stains and had things crusted over them. the shower didn’t work would come out freezing cold then scolding hot. bed sheets also weren’t the cleanest
