Regency Park Hotel

Generally fine. However, the lift was out of order meaning we had to hump luggage upstairs.

We stayed here when visiting the area for a wedding. Everything was perfectly adequate, the rooms are perhaps a little tired but wow, the water pressure in the shower is amazing! We tried the bar which had a couple of OAPs in so there wasn’t much of an atmosphere. I don’t think there were too many guests when we stayed but then gave a very peaceful, relaxing, stay. Didn’t get chance to use any of the leisure facilities, sadly.

Spent a pleasant three nights at the hotel. The rooms are substantial, large comfy bed and sitting area. The restaurant is pleasant and the menu for evening meals is small but nice food and reasonably well priced. Breakfast is very good. The staff are all very polite and helpful. However, there are a lot of issues. Swimming pool area, spa pool was out of order, one side of pool deck was roped off and there was a gaping hole in the ceiling above the pool. The room decor is dated and in need of attention, our window blind was falling apart. Pillows were terrible. So overall good value but currently not a four star venue.

Avoid this hotel. This hotel cancelled my booking with no notification via phone or email then hung up on me when I tried to see why my booking had been cancelled. I had to book another hotel whilst en route to this one. They do not answer phone or emails and staff are really rude. Avoid like the plague

The hotel was clean and spacious throughout. The room itself was large with a huge super comfy bed and everything we needed. All the staff were super helpful and friendly. Wed definitely return again!

The Regency Park hotel was a really pleasant surprise. The hotel was great and the staff were all really friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The hotel was very spacious inside and out with plenty of parking set in grounds. Inside, the public areas were smart and very spacious with plenty of places to sit ad relax. The bedroom itself was also very spacious with huge super comfy bed, a decent sofa and everything you need for a relaxing stay. The room was lovely and quiet. It also had big bright opening windows so fresh air was easy. Although we didn't use it the hotel had a generous and well equipped health centre including gym and pool. The only negative was that the lifts were out of order but despite that we'd certainly return again.

One of the cleanest rooms l have ever stayed in. Good dinner, and when l asked about a cut of beef, the waiter came to our table. Breakfast was good The pool was very good Valve for money... exceptional Family friendly and good parking too. I would certainly return

Very tired hotel, needs major refurb, rooms are ok but there is no atmosphere. Rooms ok but shower was hot then cold . Staff were not happy and food very overpriced for what it was Would not come back to this hotel until such time as it’s had a face lift and some character has been given to staff

This hotel needs more than a facelift—it needs an exorcism. The room was tired and unloved, complete with a broken lamp, peeling paint on what was suppsoed to be a balcony, and a fridge that doubled as a useless box which wasn't working. Towels weren’t changed despite being left on the floor, and the balcony was a cobweb convention, starring a fat false black widow that made sure the window stayed firmly shut—despite the heat. Wobbly paving slabs, a stuffy gym that closes too early, and changing rooms that reeked didn’t help. One basin was blocked, staff looked scruffy, and basic room amenities—like tissues, a pen, or even USB charging points—were nowhere to be found. Acceptable? Barely. Memorable? Unfortunately, yes—for all the wrong reasons.

Check in was smooth. When we entered the room, it felt a little bit cold.There was a wall mounted heater and I tried to switch it on, but that wasn't working. On the hotel details, it said if extra heater required contact reception. I rang reception there was no answer and I tried again occasionally for half an hour unsuccessfully. Then I went down to reception and there was a male staff. He said there is no heaters available and there is nothing else he can do. Even though the hotel was generally clean the toilet was stained. Bedding was clean but didn't feel fresh. The bed didn't feel very comfortable.
