Regency Park Hotel

Lovely staff we managed an early check in big rooms, only thing missing was a min fridge and water in the room, the safe wasnt working the maintance man came up said it was the battery he didnt stock them and when we suggested he got from anohter room said they were full ( which they were not! we went downstairs later her had his coat on and was saying goodbye see you Monday!! that was a little disappointing) and we seemed to be in the furthest away room from reception/bar area. The spa facilities look excellent even if we didnt use it. The lift was broken so it was a slog to take the suitcased up 2 flights of stairs. The bar was open but the man behind was obivously the manager and didnt really know what he was doing but as he said they couldnt find pinot grigio he would send someone out to buy some as we were staying for the weekend. When the actual staff came in they found some but i thought it was a lovely personal touch to be willing to go out and get. the resturant there was good although the menu does not change so Ok for a couple of nights, they did do cheese and biscuits as a desert even though it wasnt on the menu, the breakfast was good although the coffee machine was not working so they had to go and make which took a while. Overall a great stay and would definately go back.

Comfortable stay, clean, spacious room.

Overall good value for money. No working room key system during our visit seriously impacts rating. Had to wait for staff to take to and open room on every occasion. Check in delayed as not enough staff to take guests to rooms.

Our stay was great, staff were friendly and helpful, place was very clean and spa facilities were amaizing. The food was ok.

Very warm welcome and helpful staff. Room was enormous and well equipped. Friends used the spa.

There was no mention when booking that the lifts did not work. For someone with a bad back, that is a great issue. Duty manger said it never worked in the time he’d been there! Why was this not in the advert to warn people? The keycards did not work over the weekend so we had to be let into our room every time we left it hence not much privacy. The swimming pool water was freezing cold and people unable to make use of it nor it being put out of use. For a cold season like mid-February, that was shocking. Three under 5 went into the jacuzzi with their parents although there were signs that under 12 were not allowed to use spa facilities. The receptionist came in, saw the children and left without challenging the parents. Those parents took the children into the jacuzzi to warm them up after the freezing pool water but I believe that this was a blatant breach of H&S rules and the receptionist at the desk simply didn’t care! I requested housekeeping. That service didn’t come until mid afternoon and then left a bag of dirty laundry outside my door. One mishap can occur but several means that there is a lack of care and a form of dishonesty/deceit by both management and the staff. Sorely disappointed. I emailed the Operations manager about my experience and they have not bothered to respond! As long as they got their money, why have repeat customers?!? Overall, and I’ve been taking spa breaks 3-4 times a year - a shocking experience and one never to repeat at that place!

Booked direct and got a good deal for a standard room. Lots of free parking available which was great. The reception area is lovely and I was greeted by Mano who was very lovely, excellent at his job. He kindly accommodated my room request and was always happy to help during my stay. There is a lift but it was broken during my stay however they carried my bags and were happy to assist. They also had a broken key card system which meant the staff had to let each guest into the room but they managed this so well, I never had to wait and they always did this with a smile. The room was really quiet, not overlooked with views of trees. Small windows but this did not bother me. The room was really spacious, clean and had a small seating area. Wi-fi was excellent. I loved the room, it was modern, nicely decorated and in good condition. The shower was hot and powerful. A stylish but simple bathroom. The room had an iron/ironing board, tea/coffee facilities but no fridge. James who I believe was new was just a delight, friendly and always happy to help. The staff here are great. The gym is big and they have a lovely pool area with jacuzzi, sauna and steam etc. I really enjoyed using this facility. Veronica who works there was very friendly and helpful also. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and would recommend based on my stay. Great staff, nice spacious quiet rooms, excellent facilities and restaurants/takeaways near by.

Staff were pleasant and friendly and hotel was clean. Breakfast was good as were the recreation facilities

I have been to this hotel a number of times, I found the hotel clean and the staff friendly easy to park has a great lesure centre. would recommend to any one.
