Regency Park Hotel

Checked in room fine.. clean tidy. No hot water, used health suite very good. No hot water in room, couldn’t use shower. Could not call reception using room phone. Did not work Went downstairs for drinks, a private party was on. More than 40 teenagers running (literally) up and down stairwells, around corridors, hanging in bar area, 13/14 year olds vaping, swearing drunk and falling over. Watched grown men sniffing white stuff in toilets, Bar ran out of vodka 10:30pm Returned to our room, followed by drunk teenagers still running round hotel. Loud agressive arguing from adults outside in car park. Hot water still not working! So we went to bed. Loud rap music played relentlessly under our room until 11:30pm.. just when it went quiet loud bags started. Initially though it was fireworks, looked out window - nothing. They concerned it was gun shots as coincided with some screams. Turned out staff were bursting a balloon arch in the party room popping balloons 1 by 1 at midnight!! Unbelievable Next morning we needed a shower no hot water. Called reception from mobile phone, to be told no maintenance people in until next day. Asked if we could use a different shower. Was told “I’m not allowing you into another room just to shower!” 24 hrs, no way of washing Breakfast. Hot drink machine not working. Very young boy in charge of checking into dining room. Asked if we wanted tea, said yes but then bought it to us with 2 sugars and milk already in mug, coffee machine broken

It was good. Not too busy. Breakfast good choice. Good service

Booked a last minute weekend get away. We had a spacious room with a comfy bed. It was very quiet as well so we had a great nights sleep. It was precisely what we needed. The shower temperature seemed to be good in the morning and then barely lukewarm in the evening. Not sure if that was because we were the last room in the corridor so last on the pipeline. Food in the restaurant was delicious and enjoyable. We did think the drinks were a little pricey though. Overall an enjoyable stay and good value for money.

Stayed here for 6 nights over Christmas while visiting family nearby. No functioning lifts, although assistance with luggage was offered on arrival. Deluxe room 222 is spacious but dated, especially the bathroom which has a very old shower over the bath. The first room I was given overlooked the refuse area to rear of hotel and did not smell fresh. I was subsequently given an air freshener for room 222. Corridors very warm despite radiators being cold to touch. Housekeeping lady very efficient and friendly. Breakfast good especially when plated to order. I have mixed feelings about my stay and am unlikely to return unless all of the deluxe rooms are upgraded.

Decent stay and solid sleep. Clean room and great service in the health club with Remmie and Veronica. Also James was lovely and helpful as front of house for breakfast. Thank you for helping me and allowing me to take a zoom call 🤙 with no cost after I checked out also.

hotel a bit dated - door key failed every day - no lighting in car park made parking and walking to car difficult - you can tell it was once very nive, but needs some renovations and TLC

Staff were lovely but all a bit tired looking. Dinner in the restaurant on the first night was really delicious. Breakfast limited and not so good.

Well arrived at hotel all hearting in reception and halls to rooms like an ice box. Room lovely warm only problem was hairdryer broken. Asked for new one in reception told would get one sent to room never happened. Told them next morning was told no engineers on at weekend disgusted we were lied to on first day pool was freezing jacuzzi & sauna not working not told on arrival the only good thing was food brilliant except for 1 waiter whovwe thought was from faulty towers did nit have a clue what he was doing we had to ask 2 times just for some water not a very nice stay after paying so much as a surprise time away for wife's birthday it was ruined never again.

My sweet husband paid for bed and breakfast with an overnight stay and spa retreat to seen in the new year. Room was 'OK', but was dated and the carpet needs changing (room 244), quite warped and very obvious - quite embarrassing - please redo your carpet before letting to new guests! HOWEVER this review is for NECY (pronounced Nessy) in the spa! She was awesome! I simply can't sing her praises more. She is hilarious, has a great energy and her massage was outstanding! We were no longer than 2-5 minutes of my massage and she said how much tension I had so said she wanted to incorporate hot stones and heat infa-red belt for my shoulders and back. How right she was! That and in addition to the aromatherapy oils was what I needed to ensure a restful day/night! S After my 50 minute full body massage it took me a while to get off the bed as I was SO RELAXED!! THANK YOU NECY, You are amazing! I definitely recommend you see her as she won't disappoint! X
