The Spread Eagle Hotel

Absolutely awful place, should not be advertised, I paid £100 for a tiny box room which was not clean, the bed was pushed up against the corridor wall, only a bathroom style lock in the door, the place was incredibly noisy until all hours.

The hotel is old and tired, and in pretty poor condition. Everything was a little bit dirty

Lovely hotel on the high street. Great room, very comfortable. Nice staff.

TV difficult to operate. Streaming didn’t work. Only terrestrial tv available. Screen cast and only available with Android phones Breakfast poor quality. Cooked breakfast reheated. Pastries stale. Staff friendly and helpful but hotel operated on limited budget. Object to paying for parking

Room was pretty tired. Expected better for the cost

Suite had nice furniture but bedroom curtains were broken and made it impossible to close so the room was light early in the morning.

This was by far the worst hotel I have ever booked via Hotel.com The hotel was expensive, the so called ‘suite’ had a bare room with two chairs and a side table and the condition of this room, the bed room and bathroom was appalling! Breakfast was a joke ! Very little choice, poorly presented, 3 of the 6 items on cooked menu were subject to a surcharge and one member of the staff team was so rude that if he worked for me I would have sacked him on the spot !! Other hotel guests were also raising the same concerns and we will all await for the manager to contact us !!! Overall I will be seeking a full refund and WOULD NOT recommend this hotel to my worse enemy!!

Breakfast disappointing. Took forever to get someone to take our order. Food cold and bacon undercooked. Someone had already used our shampoo and conditioner.
