Classic Lodges - The White Swan

Arrival and check in was easy with a very nice member of the team. The bedroom was good. With a view of Alnwick castle (just). Parking. Check in time was 14:00.

Couldn't book dinner as a resident. Room was not within hotel, it was in an adjoining annex with a gravel footpath. Bathroom could do with upgrade.

Great location, comfortable room and fab breakfast.

The room was a little boxy and basic . But clean , and the en suite was in good order big shower and no mould. Will return.

The only let down was breakfast. Cooked buffet not hot, understaffed despite using pre booking system. Very basic offering - no egg choice (just cold fried ones from the buffet).

The White Swan is set in a lovely town and is a great base to get to several locations! Staff were very friendly and helpful! The breakfast supplied was extremely good with everything you could want, all set in the beautiful "olympic" dining room.

The hotel rooms although comfortable and clean were beginning to look a little tired. And just a thought there is no lift in this hotel so you need to be able to climb stairs to get to the rooms!

Room at top of hotel was nice and quiet, clean and had what we needed. Breakfast was fine.

excellent location, excellent decor. Wonderful stay in this gem in the middle of Alnwick. Staff were helpful, hotel room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good. Great value.
