Oxford Witney Hotel

was refused our booking after the receptionist lied to us and tried to tell us that it was a legal requirement to download an app. (False) then after talking to the manager and explaining the law to him he decided that it wasnt law just company policy (since when has company policy applied to paying guests.) Have been promised a refund but they dont answer the phone to expedia to get the refund. Very unhappy and angry abput being lied to.

The hotel was a dated. Windows did not close properly and road noise and draft. But we had a good deal half board so not bad for the money. It was OK but did expect a better standard.

Loved it! Great staff, lovely room, perfect pool and fab location!

Room was tired and of need of an update. Above an outdoor smoking area so smoky! Third time staying here and had deteriorated over the time we had visited. Room not as clean as it should have been during a pandemic! Generally disappointed.

Very nice hotel and room with a pool and gym. Oxford is a short 15-20 minute drive away

Thete were issues which under the C19 restraints were understandable. But staff were generaly polite and helpful.

Rubbish shower, even though we had Paid extra for a superior room. Needs modernising and although we was in non smoking we was under a place we’re people smoked so had to keep windows shut. In all would not go here again.

Perhaps a converted church? The building is old and the facilities reflect this- e.g no in-built aircon in the room. We were provided with a fan instead. The sink taps were also separate as opposed to the dual combination of hot/cold. The shower system was also old. We had to ask for our room key to be changed several times as it wouldn’t work after a few hours.
