Oxford Witney Hotel

Liked everything about this Hotel and will visit again if in the area.

Lovely hotel, conveniently located. Clean room, comfortable bed, great shower. Comprehensive dining menu, welcoming bar with plenty of seating. I unfortunately didn’t get to take advantage of the swimming pool so can’t comment but there is also access to a local beautician / massage therapist who was very flexible at late notice. Walking distance from a garage, Lidl, Costa, McDonalds.

We booked as couple and found in the bathroom, shampoo, hair conditioner and bath/shower gel, but there is only one each. That was not enough even just for me (I shower night and morning) never mind for two. No air conditioning but a small fan was provided, which squeaked all night!!

Nice hotel, good facilities although bathroom could have used a little TLC. The fan in the room was much appreciated given the temperature on the night we stayed.

The hotel needed a makeover, it was very dated and shabby. The bed was the most uncomfortable that I've ever slept in. There was a lack of staff in the restaurant resulting in very long waits for food. We booked for 3 nights but only stayed for 2.

Overall good experience. The hotel looks a bit dated, standard rooms defiantly require TLC. Good breakfast and good pub grub style food in the bar. Service was a bit slow l, but apart from that is was more or less what we expected. Based on the current condition of the rooms / spa and pool area, I believe it is a bit overpriced but the location is great if you want to discover the area.

Perhaps the ugliest hotel I’ve ever used. The architect who designed this should be imprisoned. They try hard but the rooms are small and airless despite modern appointments and everything feels institutional and basic. Amazing the staff are so nice. I couldn’t work here. On the plus side the parking is good.

We have been regulars at the Oxford Witney for years and were pleasantly surprised how the place has been updated The dining room the bar and reception have all been tastefully upgraded and we enjoyed our stay in the most pleasant of surroundings

Looks lovely from outside disappointed with room mould on tiles no toilet brush . Dirty cup in restarant. Food was a bit crispy breakfast toast pancakes
