We went for iguana feedings with Marina & Shelly Ann yesterday and we had a lot of fun! Today we did hair braiding with Marina & Bianca and once again we had a great time! The activities add a lot to our experience!

Wonderful way to celebrate 40 years of marriage! The Rio Mar was phenomenal. Located within the rainforest, so much to see and experience, yet approximately 25 minutes to Old San Juan and all it has to offer. The staff at Rio Mar was welcoming and helpful, Jose, Concierge, assisted us in coordinating two excursions, the Rainforest Tour; an absolute must and a Tour of Old San Juan, another must. The hotel is meticulously clean, the staff at the Rio Mar takes pride in their work. From the moment you arrive on the property, enjoy a drink at a bar, breakfast, dinner or tapas/snack at the many restaurants on property, the staff is friendly and helpful in making food suggestions. Thanks to Irisza, her great big welcoming smile, at the Tiki Bar, we enjoyed Mofongo at Iguana’s; delicious. Jacob, our waiter at Roots Restaurant, was so professional; each time we returned to Roots during our stay, he made it a point to stop by to welcome us and make certain we were enjoying our stay. While it did rain a bit more than we would have liked, we very much enjoyed our week’s stay. My husband played a round of golf on each the river and ocean courses. After a long winter with no golf, he very much enjoyed his time playing his favorite sport. Finally, the rain did not dampen our time, we had plenty of sun met wonderful people, both guests and staff - highly recommend staying in a rainforest view room at the Rio Mar.

What an excellent experience! The cabanas were worth every penny at the pool and the beach. The weight staff at each was great and made having a large group comfortable and a little spoiled. Thank you to Victoria at our check out process with some questions we needed help with. And for Joel at the concierge for topping off our trip! We will be back!

We really enjoyed our visit to Margaritaville. Jonathan picked us up at the airport and told us about the new upgrades to the property in the last year and a half since we were there last. Jonathan went over and above our expectations to help us with getting rides to all of the local attractions. We were welcomed by Rocio at the front desk with a margarita and helped us to get checked in. Whenever we needed anything during our stay Rocio immediately addressed all of our concerns with a smile. We enjoyed our dinners in the Roots Coastal dining room. Several nights we were served by Cheyenne and he was very attentive to our meal and suggested items on the menu. One day we went on the jet ski in the ocean and had a great time stopping and walking on a sand bar and seeing conch shells. Another we sat on the pool bar seats in the water and had a wonderful drink prepared by Alex who was very helpful and quick. We had a nice relaxing time sitting on the beach in the lounge chairs they provided and watching the sunset. I wish we could have stayed longer.
