The breakfast including a fruit starter and hot meal and coffee was very good. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. We loved the suite we stayed in with a sunny patio and a big glass sliding door with a view of the little stream. We loved the fireplace in the bedroom with wood and firelighters supplied.

The crowd that was there for a wedding reception;, detracted from the peaceful ambience. We didn't used the pub at all as it was always very crowded.

It’s an amazing little gem hidden away - it is old and dated but this is the charm. If u looking for 4stars. Go somewhere else. If I looking for a charming place where they try with what resources and finance they have. Support this establishment.

The chord for the kettle was so short I had to unplug it to pour the kettle. But - small issue - just unplugged kettle and poured. Loved the stay once again.

Courtesy of staff, helpful and cheerful. Comfortable room with a fireplace in winter. Lovely setting with pretty landscaped pathways. Excellent breakfast. Tranquility of the area

Position was great. Staff were very friendly and kind. It was comfortable and clean.

My only complaint is that we pre-ordered vegan food for dinner and this was promised but not adequately provided for. Plant milk was not available and very little was suitable at breakfast so I would recommend improving such provisions. The staff were kind and did their best but seemed clueless as to what was needed.

Mark, the owner, was a gracious, informative host. The staff were friendly, helpful, service was good!

Bath/shower water heating was disappointing.

Very friendly and welcoming staff in the hotel and bar that shared lots of helpful recommendations. The Hogsback Inn has lots of character if you want to stay somewhere charming with historic features. Our bedroom was very beautiful with a sitting area, terrace and large bed. We loved the little bar and the view from our bedroom of the stream was stunning. The fireplace and heated blankets in our room was a great touch.

Just a suggestion for a little heater in the bedroom on colder days for guests who struggle with the fireplace.
