"Moronic policy and rude staff"

I was invited by my company to stay at this location, I booked online using my card information. When I tried to Check-in I was told the hotel clerk and shift manager Sam, that the hotel only accepts physical card at check-in. I was not able to produce the physical card as it was only available on my Google wallet. I was then told I could call a friend to use their card, and take over the payment at checkout. Very inconvenient but fine I called up a friend and when she tried to pay the hotel's system failed to process the payment. This I wall left stranded with no way to check in to the hotel and had to find alternative lodging elsewhere at a premium. Note: payment with google-wallet/apple-pay is available on their machines, I speculate that the reason they won't accept this form of payment is solely the transaction fees. I just can't fathom a hotel that can't accept contactless payment in 2025 in California. Sam and Leticia were the most unhelpful front desk people I've ever encountered by a mile. Sam was extremely condescending and smug.
