Cedar Court Wakefield

No air conditioning and was the hottest summer on record so was uncomftable sleeping. Restaurant Food good, breakfast good if ordered separately, so avoid the buffet as salty, dried up and luke warm. Service good but short staffed. Clean room. Modern looking hotel.

Was staying at the hotel for a wedding. Room was perfect for what we needed. Clean and quiet.

it was comfortable nice hotel n convenient for on n off mortorway not far from wakefield or bite to eat with kfc n burgerking nearby

Enjoyed our stay as guests at a wedding we felt very comfortable but a long walk down the corridor to our room

Very good value for money especially with use of pool and spa facilities and my evening meal was good value and tasty. It's a long way out of Wakefield if you don't have a car. I spent a fortune on taxis and the hotel bar etc rather impersonal for a singleton. There is no direct or frequent bus route and it is not as close to the Hepworth gallery as claimed. . Very popular with wedding parties at weekends but probably a good stop off (midweek) for visiting the famous Sculpture Park and rest of Yorkshire with very easy access to and from M1.

Bedroom ok but bathroom had mould around the taps and overflow. Loose as well as broken and cracked tiles. Bath gel had not been replaced so partly used bottle left for us. Reported to reception

Apart from the staff who carry a very poor hotel there is nothing positive to say. The room had stains on the floor, ripped furniture, holes in the wall where the curtain roundel should have been. The bathroom had holes in the tiles below the shower controls, water came out of the shower controls when turned on and the bath panel was falling off. The bed was like a brick and you could hear everything form the rooms adjacent. The food in the evening was poor and to say the steak was tough would be an understatement.

From first glance the hotel looks lovely from the outside.... when entering the room it looks very tired and in need of a makeover! The bed base was meant to be white, but was dirty. There was an inch of dust around the outside of the room where clearly the hoover doesn’t touch the skirting board. Lamp shade missing off bed side light. Air conditoning didn’t work. Wooden headboard banged every time I turned over in bed waking me. Could hear occupants in next room. Hairdryer was powerless and bathroom grout was very dirty! Could have got better for my money

Attractive building but menu disappointing not even changed on Sunday (Father's Day) ! Lots of friendly staff but not trained on how to serve in the restaurant. Things we ordered never arrived and on the first evening (more staff than customers) after 20 minutes we had to go to the desk and say we were ready to order.

reasonable hotel but definitely overpriced for the room. Towel rack in bathroom was only big enough for one towel and there was no power point for the toothbrush. There were quite a few stray pubes in the bathroom too which was fairly gross. If this was an upgraded room I wonder what the one we would have got was like. Definitely a worse room than when we booked through Amoma and direct.
