Staff friendly and welcoming. Unfortunately the TV in my room wasn’t working but when I reported it someone arrived in about 5 mins to try and fix it but when they couldn’t I was moved to a different room immediately. Service couldn’t have been better.

The shower was freezing, so had to leave without a wash/shower or bath

On arrival it took 20 mins to check in as the notification wasn't issued from the online booking to the hotel, luckily they had available rooms. There was also a charge of £3.00 for the car park which was unexpected as I don't recall reading this anywhere however this might be an oversight on my behalf, however it would have been nice for this to been honoured due to the farce of booking in. Also the swimming facilities are very limited which was a shame as we were unable to use this facility. The room was clean and tidy however the cold water tap on the bath would not turn off, had I been alone I would not have been able to do this myself. This was reported in the morning. We booked because we had a local function that evening and returned just before 01.00am by 01.40 I was woken up by a loud constant banging coming from above, this continued for 40 mins. The noise was consistent all this time which resulted in a phone call to reception. We were told it was something on the roof that maintainance had been left a message and there was nothing else that could be done. Another 30 mins passed and still there was the noise constantly and my partner went down to reception. The person on duty confirmed they had heard the noise but they could not do anything about it. Another 20 mins later another phone call to request a room change. They could not accommodate. This noise continued until around 07.00am. We had no sleep and the stay was awful. Promised a call back - still waiting

When i checked in, i was disappointed to find parking cost £3 a night. This seems odd. The hotel isn't in a busy area, and the Premier Inn over the road has free parking, so clearly this is just a cash-grab. The hotel room was ok, but dated, and The window didn't shut fully... unless you pulled the handle, you could hear the wind whistling. The hot/cold tap on the shower was plumbed backwards. The Toilet leaked When i checked in, i paid for breakfast, was given an itemised receipt, and also given a small card that said "breakfast" on it stapled amid the rest of my paperwork (I was not told I needed this) In the morning i came down for breakfast, and gave them my room number, then started to eat I was shortly approached and was told that they had no record of paying for breakfast. I had the itemised receipt in my pocket, so showed them that, but they wouldn't accept it, they said they would just charge my room again - I told them they didn't need to do that, because i had already paid, the lady left, and came back in a moment, saying she t couldn't charge my room because i didn't set up a card for the room. I again told them that i had already paid, showed them the receipt, but they insisted unless i had the little card i would need to pay again. I had to go back to my room, find the card and bring it back down to them. The staff were condescending throughout - Trying to make me pay again, for something that i had obviously paid for. Avoid

Music above room kept me awake till 1am. When asked if this would be the same on second night, I was assured that it would. And it was! And apparently there was nothing that could be done about it! And there wasn’t

Stayed on way to visit family so only really needed a room. Very clean, nice size and free wifi a bonus but think cheeky charging extra £3 for parking, only small amount but wasn't mentioned when booking and feel parking should be included.

We booked 2 family rooms but they were at opposite ends of the hotel. We have raised this issue with the hotel but they still haven't explained how this problem occurred a week later.

I stayed for two nights to attend a combined birthday/wedding anniversary at the hotel! I arrived after a long, busy Friday and a long drive. The Reception were welcoming and efficient! Signing in was a breeze! I was new to the area, and over my two day stay asked for advice from the Reception staff about the local area. They were very helpful! Shortly after I arrived, I ate in the restaurant. The meal was deliciious and served promptly! The venue for the celebration was excellent. Breakfast on both mornings was tasty with a good range of options! A thoroughly enjoyable stay!

Hotel was okay considering the price. We were however far from reception in what you could tell was a very worn down, old room. In need of an update for sure. The sound proofing of room was non existent which we discover by have a Group of very loud and presumably drunk women next to us. We stayed in a room with an ajoining door which might have been why it was so loud. Also maybe why there was a group staying next to us as it maybe was a family room. Other notes the hairdryer was dusty so assume not used for a while but should still be cleaned. Overall based on the price the room was acceptable. Would probably not stay there again though.

Old bathrooms that really do need a total revamp let down the hotel. Maintenance of the rooms is poor.
