Quality Inn West Des Moines I-80 & I-235

No clean up during renting time. Blanket is dirty and smells.

Although this Days Inn is reasonably priced and close to my family members in Des Moines, it lacks some amenities like a coffee-maker and/or facial tissues in the room. My room also had no cups for water, and the bottled water I put in the refrigerator froze! The room was also chilly in late May but had no way to adjust the temperature, except to make it colder. I did appreciate the free breakfast and the fact that free coffee was available at all times.

DON’T stop here! I’m tempted to get ahold of Iowa Department of Inspections, Appeals, and Licensing and I’m generally laid back and not that observant!!

I asked for a 1st floor room or an elevator. They had neither. There were holes in the blanket and the sheets were thread bare. The breakfast was either waffles or cereal. No fruit, no other choices. I am surprised that this was a days inn by Wyndham.

The hotel room was filthy, and the hospitality was terrible, couldn't get towels or blankets when we needed them. Typical for a 2 star hotel.

Hot breakfast was not serving no plates food drinks. The room lacked tissues and ice bucket and glasses. Bed cover had many spots.

The Desk Attendant was efficient, but not externally friendly. We were disappointed that 1) there was no mini-fridge in the room and 2) we needed to get an extra washcloth(there was only one);3) little soaps-nice, but little shampoos/lotion would have helped. 4)the breakfast was disappointing-so little, juice maker not working, and waffle fluid dispenser-not day one, fixed day two-yay. 5) very small flat pillows on bed; sorry I did not bring my own. The positives-cleanly room, bedding, good working air, good lighting, quiet-good walls. Walk up two flights to room; of course, pre-elevator days....Parking was convenient. Lower priced hotel, as good as it gets.

Nothing...we did not stay after seeing the condition of the room and lobby!

No elevator, 1970's run down furniture in lobby, stains on bedding, no trash can in bathroom, it had a bad smell, very unclean. They took $100 off our card for incidentals and would not refund cash, need to wait 14 days for it to go back on my credit card.
