"For being on the good side of Des Moines 'West'. Felt like being in the hood."

The room itself was fine for the price. Air conditioning worked fine. Restaurant next door was very convenient.

Staff was unfriendly and unhelpful.... from the Indian behind the counter to the 'Sorry no Ing-glay' Latina cleaning the room. Room had no fridge, microwave, coffee maker or tissue. Next morning at continental style bf....no coffee, juice machine was watered down OJ, and apple was out of order. The corridor leading to my room smelled like rotting garbage. Plus, half of the parking lot was torn up.

"The Booking.com agent sent an email to the hotel Mgr for the return of our money."

Male cashier at the front desk was RUDE & would not accept the payment on the card that was used to hold the room, then he refused to release our money since we were not allowed access to the room.
