"Good for a budget stay"

8.0

Hospitality was good, staff were nice and accommodating. Hot food options were not great. Flavourless, stale, overcooked and just really not a 4* standard. Drinks were good atleast to make up for the food. People in the entertainment were great and hospitable, so kudos to them. Overall a decent experience, but would probably not hurry to go back

"Average but could be great"

6.0

Here now.First few days ok. However have noticed some of the food stations shut now.less choice. Meats chewy at times. Some undercooked. Same dishes reused time and again. No plain yoghurt for breakfast last two days..no eggs this morning .only cold omelette. Hard sausages...Seems standards slipping by day. Shame as pool is nice and staff nice. Room is good too. Just the food a bit disappointing as time goes on.

"If you enjoy cold food"

6.0

We’re here at the moment and must say I’m really disappointed. The food is not the best always cold and most of the meat is undercooked. Rooms are ok What shocked us most was watching the cleaners mopping the floors in the bar/ restaurant area and putting the dirty water into the fountain which is in the middle of the outdoor seating area of the restaurant 🤮🤮 Usually have 3 holidays a year and must say this is one for near the bottom of the list. I do take most reviews with a pinch of salt but definitely wouldn’t recommend this one.

"Another nice trip to Cala'n Bosch"

8.0

This was a return trip to the Sol Falco for us, though it was 2015 last time we were here. The hotel's obviously had a refresh in the intervening years, but basically it's the same, though the Flintstones theme has gone, no bad thing to be honest. Same goes for the resort, I didn't see any big developments, which is in perfect keeping with Menorca's reputation as the more quiet, tranquil and authentic Balearic holiday destination. We travelled with Jet2 who offered the option of a ground floor family room with its own small patio, sunbeds, table and chairs. We also emailed the hotel separately to request a room that got the sun in the afternoon. This is exactly what we got, so full marks for that. The hotel is made up of separate blocks, three stories high, but no lifts, so be sure to specify your requirements if you have any mobility issues. The room was fresh, no problems with the fixtures and fittings. There was a fridge and a safe (€18/week for the safe), no kettle or tea coffee making stuff, but you could hire a kettle for €18/week (We brought our own travel kettle and coffee). We used the fridge to store soft drinks and water that we'd bought from the local shop, just being lazy as the 300m round trip to the bar from our patio made the small extra expense worthwhile. The room was generally very clean but the loo could've done with a loo brush running around under the rim to make it spotless, and the top of the shower head would benefit from a wipe down, though I liked the big walk-in shower. The beds were two singles pushed together, I prefer a double, but slept fine anyway. There was a TV that had several English language news channels. As we travelled after the schools had gone back most of the hotel guests were older couples (like us) and families with pre-school age children and babies. This was a good mix and again fitted the laid back vibe of the hotel. We tended to lounge around by our room but there seemed to be plenty of spare sunbeds around the pools at any time of the day. As some others have noted the pools are around 1.7m to over 2m deep, lifeguards were present, but just be aware. We only went in the oblong pool at the rear of the hotel, at around 25m long and 1.7m deep (I'm 5' 11'' and could touch the bottom OK) it was great for getting a few lengths in, although we were probably in the minority as most of the time we had the whole pool to ourselves, which was great. The hotel was popular with Spanish guests from the mainland, who maybe outnumbered the Brits, I also heard a lot of French spoken, but obviously no problem getting by in English around the hotel and the resort. From experience I'd put the quality and variety of food in the top third of hotels we've visited. Always good meat/fish options, I had no problem filling my plate, only thing I missed was something like a wholemeal French bread at breakfast, but think that's just a regional thing. Outside the hotel we enjoyed a walk down to the marina and a wander around the shops and bars that surround it. It's not massive, but there's all the essentials down there, once you've done a lap you will have seen almost everything that Cala'n Bosch has to offer as most of the surrounding areas are residential. A round trip from the hotel is about 2km, just right for an after dinner walk. There's a lighthouse on the south western tip of the Island about 1km further on which marks a popular spot for watching the sun setting over Mallorca. If you're an early riser then just a short walk out of the rear of the hotel you can also catch the sunrise viewed from the Cami de Cavalls trail on the small headland between Cala'n Bosch's two beaches. The Cami de Cavalls trail goes around the Island and the path to the East and North of Cala'n Bosch offers several kilometres of uninterupted rugged coastline, appropriate footwear required if you want to venture along these paths though. We walked to Cala Blanca, the next resort heading North along the West coast, this was a 19km round trip, a good half day walk to stretch your legs. Can't comment on the evening entertainment as we generally went out after dinner, also we did not spend any time down at the local beaches, but overall we enjoyed our week here and would have no problem returning at some time in the future.

"Perfect few days"

10.0

Second year in a row staying at this hotel. We just love it. Cannot fault it. Nice and clean, great friendly staff and perfect location. I emailed to ask for a room where we were located last year as was the perfect location. We were given the room next door, which was ideal. No doubt be booking again for next year.

"A lovely hotel for families, couples and solo holiday makers. Brilliant."

10.0

Friendly welcoming and helpful that applies to all the staff, from the reception desk to the gardeners. We had requested a ground floor sol room, more than happy with room provided and even had a shower chair and supports in the bathroom area. Room was cleaned everyday by excellent team of cleaners. Eating and drinking is definitely value for money, plenty of each available. The restaurant is spacious and lots of seating for the bar area. Clean and well looked after pools. Loads to do the entertainment team will get you involved or leave you in peace if you wanted to just chill and watch. Beach is very close down a avenue of palm trees .

"Three old friends just having a nice time."

8.0

This hotel was booked through Tui as an all inclusive holiday, the three of us all had our own rooms next to each other in the Rancho Block this is the closest block to the beach, we were hoping for a sea view but sadly this was not to be as we had trees outside our balcony meaning no view at all. That said there were many trees around the hotel so many room had no views. the rooms were a nice size, clean and modern, fridge and an excellent shower, the room was serviced everyday. This is quite a large complex spread out over a large area, but as it is only a maximum of three stories high it does not feel large. The restaurant is large as it need to cater for lots of people, on our first few days here we never had any trouble finding a table and there was always plenty of food, but later into the week it became a lot busier and finding a table was not so easy and food would run out, there is space to sit outside by one of the pools in the BBQ area or a courtyard within the restaurant. The choice of food was vast for meat eaters and vegetarians, there was all the usual chips and pizzas but there was always fresh meat and fish , ( my favorite was the pork cheek in red wine sauce and the lamb shank), this was so tender it just fell of the bone, quite amazing when they cook such huge quantities of food they can do this so well. Fresh fruit was there but you had to be careful what you chose as some of it was hard and unripe. For a hotel this size and the amount of food to cater for so many people, it was really good, my only real complaint is some of it could be cold, but there is a couple of microwaves available to pop your food in and give it a warm up if you want to. Evening entertainment was the usual kids club stuff, which we gave a wide berth to, but there was always a show after that for the families, which was always outside entertainers not the hotel staff. Bar staff are all quite friendly and a shout out goes to Gabriel, really friendly and chatty even to us Brits. There are seven pools around this hotel the large main pool with the slides, one note of caution to the main pool two out of the three sections are deep water both nearly 7 feet deep, so small children have to be supervised, there are lifeguards but they tend to concentrate on the slides, a large rectangular pool just around the corner to the main pool, the rest are dotted around the complex they are much quieter and relaxed if you want to just chill. Not so easy to get a sunbed around these though as the towels seem to appear about 7am. The entertainment staff around the main pool were always busy and of course very up beat, another shout out to Nadia and Ivan. Your energy was just incredible. I really liked this hotel, I thought the token system for the cups for your drinks worked really well, no cups being left all around the pool area, kept it nice and tidy. Did we enjoy this hotel? Yes would we recommend this hotel? Yes Would we stay again ? Yes

"Certainly be back"

10.0

I’m not sure why people complain about the token system. It’s simple- you are given a token per person, you hand them in you get drinks all day if you want. When you’re done you simply tell them, they give you back the tokens and you do the same the next day. It’s clearly to stop people leaving rubbish all over by using reusable cups! It in no way affects the all inclusive experience. The staff are lovely, really get involved with guests but don’t pester if you say no thank you. Rooms, clean, good facilities. Beds made and floors mopped daily. Pool is looked after, fun for everyone and very clean. Food is varied and there will be plenty for you to eat. Great transport links with a bus stop outside the hotel. Marina is less than a 10 minute walk away. All in all a great hotel. Lovely experience and already looking at coming back next year.
