Quality Inn & Suites Ames Conference Center Near ISU Campus

This is a stinky, dirty, and overall disgusting hotel. I'm no snob and can live in pretty much any accommodations. But, our room was stinky and was not clean. The breakfast was not stocked and was disappointing. The bathroom was stained and dirty. The lamp was broken. The table and night stands had sticky food on them. I didn't ask for a refund or to be moved because the staff looked helpless themselves. My wife was very upset with this nasty hotel. Just horrible. If it was deep cleaned and had new managment it could be a nice place.

Room had a strange odor. Tub drained extremely slowly. AC unit made lots of noise and caused us to loose sleep. Electrical outlet on nightstand didn’t work so cell phone and watch didn’t charge. No bowls for cereal. No real creamer, just coffee mate.

Beds were comfortable.

Flies had access to the room, I think through a a/c duct. Spent time swatting flies.

Let us do a late check in and had great customer service!

The beds were super comfy and the room was great. Staff was very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast however was less than desirable. When we got there at 8:30 there was only one egg, lots of sausages and no biscuits and gravy. The breakfast area was very dirty.

This hotel is in absolutely terrible condition, especially when coupled with the cost. The breakfast area was filthy. Flies everywhere, trash and dirt on the floor and counters, broken cupboard doors that wouldn’t close, and very small selection of food. No fruit, and cold sausage gravy that was “freshly made”. Our room has a dirty toilet. The elevator is run down and dirty. The hallways are grungy feeling. Overall, I would never recommend staying here. Usually Quality Inn is a nice place to stay. This one is a disgrace to the name.

The room itself was good, clean, bed was comfy, bathroom was clean, toilet needs some working on as you have to hold the flusher down for like 20 seconds for all your bodily contents to go down the toilet, the elevator by the back entrance smells like a homeless individual camped out in it for a while and the carpets needs replaced in that bad boy, also the back doors don’t stay locked for safety. We stayed for 3 days and the back door was never locked. The breakfast was good, tv worked fine. Internet didn’t work the first day, but the second day was fixed. Overall, it was okay.

Smelled musty and not very clean. Needs a renovation. Very expensive for quality.

Awful. Hallways and lobby were hot and humid. Breakfast was cold and uncooked. Pool out of order. No bedding for sofa bed. Awful service.

Not so good. Excellent staff deserve a better hotel. They were very helpful. The facility is in poor shape. Finishes are tired and worn out. Out of date. Air was stale. Several check ins ahead of me had serious problems with their reservations. Staff had to negotiate difficult issues to satisfy customers expectations. The pool was out of order and unavailable, causing real issues for the many youth in town for competition at the Iowa Games who had expected to enjoy the pool.
