It appeared to be a slow weekend at the hotel as we did not see many other guests. The staff was friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. Standard breakfast was included.

"Expensive for condition."

Beds decent, friendly staff. Bathroom was beat up, tub/shower looked dirty (they had duct tape on the tub instead of repairing or replacing) light switches dirty, random towel bar laying by the toilet. Probably won't choose to stay there again.

Old & dated which is ok but dirty walls, floor, light switch etc. Needs better cleaning. And breakfast offerings poor. On a positive note, beds were comfortable and it was quiet.

"ISU Football Family Weekend"

The Quality Inn is a great location to stay in Ames for an ISU event. It is convenient to campus and restaurants. I was impressed with the lobby and decor. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Staff was friendly and efficient. I would book there again!

Flies everywhere, we managed to swat and kill 8 but there were still a few more. The room was clean on the surface but could definitely use a deep clean (shampoo the stained carpets, clean baseboard, etc). Very old and outdated, could use a remodel to freshen it up.
