Lovely location, surroundings. Lovely wedding venture.

Bedroom was tired and dated. Basic decor, bathroom had duct tape around the bath and the tile area looked dirty/dusty. Breakfast was at best ok, cooked food was warm not hot, Toaster didn’t work we had to stand and hold down the lever for it to work, bread was not same day fresh, staff were slow and seemed unsure and disorganised. Also paid £50 more than what was advertised on Booking.com the day of our stay rather than booking in advance. Most disappointing.

The hotel was very clean. We got a room upgrade overlooking water at the back it was appreciated. Had a good game of golf hired 2 buggy’s.

Food in Barney’s was terrible. Disappointing as it was for a birthday. We sent one meal back as it was a joke. The rest we pushed round the plate as it was for a birthday so didn’t want to turn it into a negative experience. The breakfast the next day in the grill was average. Pastries were not cooked all the way through. one toaster that took ages! No marmalade ? Instant coffee, waited ages for milk to be topped up for cereal just not great!

We’ve just been contacted at 1738 the evening before our booked stay which starts at 1000 tomorrow, saying they are overbooked…and we can no longer attend our planned visit. We’ve already travelled HOURS to the area, arranged for care for our children and we booked over a month ago. Absolute disgrace.

Lovely hotel and friendly staff.

Maybe dressing gowns in rooms, coffee machine.

Great little gem, the highlight is the Spa facilities, so relaxing. Amazing breakfast too Staff always helpful and polite

Spa was very busy which is to expected but i understand why.

Food in the clubhouse was brilliant and the service from Gabriel Rodrigo and Diego was even better.

Beautiful location and grounds

We arrived after check in time yet we had to wait for the room to be ready. Surely if we’ve paid for a room after 3 it should be immediately available if we’ve arrived after 4. The air con in one room didn’t work and the shower doors in both rooms weren’t excellent allowing water out onto the bathroom floor. The rooms appeared ready for a deep clean with stained carpets and a bit of mould in the bathrooms. It was acceptable but just not a standard I expected from a spa hotel. The restaurant was nice and the service very quick. The spa treatment in the spa area was lovely and I was pleased with the selection of times. The bed was also comfortable and sheets and towels clean.

Very nice location / views / building

The walls are so thin that I was unable to fall asleep until 2 am due to hearing the couple next to my room yapping until 1am and it felt like they were in the same room. Bright lights being on in the corridor and outside and the lights coming through the bedroom door which made it impossible to have proper darkness in the room.. And can do with coffee pods for the morning in the bedroom

Such wonderful food at the Mottran with Mahfuz as our server he went above and beyond for us
