El baño de la habitación requiere de mantenimiento (pintura en la regadera). Deberían tener habitaciones sin cocineta. La distancia del lobby a la habitación es muy larga y muy difícil de encontrar los elevadores.

My husband and I have vacationed here at least 10 times. We book the reservations through our RCI points. This year was very different from the prior years. Let's start with the good: 1. The grounds/landscape is impeccable and beautiful 2. The pool is perfection. It is crystal clear, tidy and the perfect temperature. We loved the new towels! Really big and fluffy. It made laying out at the pool much more comfortable. 3. Giovonni is AMAZING :) His demeanor was always pleasant and professional. We love how he folds our towels....he goes above and beyond! 4. Carly, who checked us in, was very professional and personable. She smiled and welcomed us. 5. Ivan, our server at the pool was TOP NOTCH. For a "younger" fella, he was very professional and had a great sense of service. Thank you Ivan. 6. Gustavo (I think that is how you spell his name) He noticed me looking for a lounge chair on the beach and when I started to go back to the pool, he tracked me down and found a few chairs beachside. I didn't have to ask, he simply knew what I was looking for. Above and beyond! The not so good: 1. We had a few questions about our reservation, we spoke with Carlos. He told us to check back the next day for a response. When we met him the following day, he was incredibly RUDE and made us feel like we were a HUGE bother. For being in a front and center customer service role, his attitude was not welcoming. I get folks have a bad day or two, but his treatment of my husband and I was unacceptable. I'm more than happy to speak with someone in more detail about our experience with him. It was completely unwarranted. 2. We recognized two staff members, and the rest were new "to us". The overall "vibe" of the staff was not the usual happy, upbeat tempo. I come from a customer service background and can sense when folks aren't happy with their working conditions. 3. We had to change rooms on our last day....this was pre-planned as our room was not available on our last day. The room was WET. I don't know how else to explain it. The floors were slick with condensation for the duration of the day. 4. The 10am check out and the 4pm check in times are a bit of a bummer and money grab, imo. 5. The food: Inizio has taken a significant downgrade in the quality of cuisine and choices. The dishes of the past were swanky and exciting. **** Unfortunately i know this is out of the resort's control, I wanted to mention the ocean. The rocks are hard on the feet and made it REALLY difficult to get in and out of the water. The rocks and then sinking into the rocks made it hard for the older folks. So much so, that we left the resort on 3 different occasions to enjoy the waves/beaches on the Melacon. Our first visit here was on our honeymoon in 2013. We fell head over heels for Club Regina PV. It kept us coming back for 10 additional years, and we aren't even members. Our 10-day stay this year was average and a bit disappointing.

The resort was not as promised. I was refunded my points and fees by RCI (I checked out the next morning after checking in) They said they had been taken over by a Mexican company a few weeks earlier. Manager said I could have the refund of the taxes and fees if I gave him my bank account information. I said I am not doing that - you can simply refund it to the card you charged like you are doing for the deposit hold. He refused. Then I did dispute with my credit card company. Got something back that said the merchant said their cancelation/return policy was not followed so we are charging your card again. I will be disputing again with my card company as they haven't seen my evidence yet - they go to the merchant first. These people will scam you - do not go there!

My wife and I had lots of fun participating in group activities hosted by Antonio, Job, Rosa, & Mayra all week long. Antonio took me on a bike ride around the marina. They all helped us very attentively while making earrings, bracelets, dream catcher, & rock paintings. They also organized variety of light sports games including mini golf, darts, ping pong, & bocce. Last event we did was margarita tasting with fun presentation by Rosa.

The cooking class was fun and delicious!! Antonia and Rosa were excellent teachers!

Overall the location and condition of the resort is good. It is quite dated and they don't allow RCI exchanges to be at the front of the resort with the best view. Our first week in a 2 bdrm had a view of palm trees (6th floor). The second week when we moved to a one bdrm we were higher up (13th floor) and had a nice view of the ocean off to one side. The staff are always seen to be working on the grounds and the exterior is well maintained. The units are maintained but are older. Our first unit had a moldy smell but to be fair the staff did what they could, even bringing in an air purifier. Our second unit had no mold smell. Our housekeepers were great and came daily to make beds and tidy up. The beds are very firm. It's a 20 min walk to the marina with restaurants, etc. The beach is nice and the pool area has great loungers with nice thick mattresses, and there was never a problem finding loungers.
