Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket

I cannot praise Dusit Thani enough! We had our wedding there and the whole experience was FANTASTIC! Me and my husband started looking for a venue to host our wedding back in Dec 2024 and after much research and deliberation, we narrowed our choices down to three resorts in Phuket, among which the sales team of Dusit Thani was the fastest in response to our inquiries. Num, Karter and Mintra were assigned to our wedding project and I am blown away by their meticulous attention to details and rich experience in hosting wedding events. To put it simple, they know what they are doing. We quickly confirmed our package, menu options and venue options (with Plan B in case of outside rain, which actually did happen!). Of course, during the time leading up to our wedding (May 4 2025), we had multiple meetings to go though the steps and details including song choices, room options, etc. When we arrived at Dusit Thani on May 3, 2025, everything has been sorted out by the team and the check in process for us and all the wedding guests were very smooth. We were upgraded to a Seaview suite room free of charge. On May 4, the wedding happened. The wedding ceremony venue (Columbia Garden) was gorgeous and we did not have to worry about a single thing because Num, Karter and Mintra got everything in control! The dinner banquet was hosted inside at Dusit Hall and when we arrived there, all the food stations and stage & tables & lighting system were ready. The wedding aside, Dusit Thani itself was a great resort as well, beautiful beaches, great breakfast offerings and I love the pools! This is definitely one of the best resorts I have ever stayed at in Thailand! I cannot be more grateful for the whole team from Dusit Thani, for making my wedding such an amazing experience. Nice hotel and by Bao tang beach. Pool and rooms very clean and I was able to have a late checkout for free. The breakfast has a lot of choices.

Staff, location and restaurants were great.

We have just returned back home after six weeks at Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket, the 10th time. We had a marvellous time thanks to the friendly staff, taking such good care of us. Due to this friendliness and hospitality we felt like being at home. We want to send a special thank you to the GM, Samir, and his staff, i e Sunisa and Waraporn. The evenings in the Horizon Bar with Dhonna and her beautiful songs were lovely. Also very good service provided by Orawan and her team. We miss all of you and will most likely return next year. We strongly recommend Dusit to all our friends. Hugs to all of you from Gunilla and Kjell.

We currently staying in the hotel and we both like it a lot. Excellent location for beach lovers as hotel has perfect seating. Lovely pool connected with huge garden and long stretch beach. All staff exceptionally nice and friendly. Always willing to help. Our room was sea and lagun view on first floor. Always clean with fresh bed sheets. We were very pleased as after travelling for over 20 hours we managed to get early check in which was blessing. Breakfast always nice. Typical English breakfast option but also a lot of Thai food from curry , rice , noodles, soup, till dim sum 🥟. Good choice for vegetarians as well. Good choice of bread and pastry ( banana cake very nice). We had couple of lunches by the pool and they were nice. Me and my partner both enjoyed happy hours in lobby between 7pm-8pm and live music. There is also couple of others restaurants which we haven’t tried yet. Hotel located less than 5 min walk to nearest shops and around 35 walk or 10 min by car to bigger town with local food. There is a lot of restaurants on the beach within 10 min walk to the left or right . Please learn on my mistake and don’t wear expensive sunglasses in the see as waves 🌊 will washed them off and you won’t find them. We both lost ours. Would definitely recommend this place. Suitable for families, couples, disabled .

We returned to the Dusit after 10 years to show our children where we got married. It was to see not much had changed but was disappointing to see so much work being done at the hotel which meant we couldn’t have breakfast in the usual restaurant. We stayed in one of the villas at the hotel which was lovely but didn’t have the turn down service any more which was also disappointing. Our bath was broken within the room but the staff did try and repair it when we complained. It’s a beautiful hotel with amazing staff but I do agree it is dated but I think it’s also very authentic to Thailand.

Good location, however very dated hotel.Pictures in magazines are definitely not accurate! Sea view obscured by hawkers, After the first morning awful breakfast with rancid butter , ate out the next 2 days even though included. Cockroaches in bedroom, shower & communal areas. Spoke with manageress about the possibility of leaving early but apparently this couldn’t be done. My son who lives in Thailand was shocked how poor it was especially when he found out what we paid !

We thoroughly enjoyed our 9 nights at Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket. The biggest selling point I can make are the wonderful attentive, efficient and always smiling staff. Whilst the suite we had was very dated, dark and in need of upgrade, that is our only negative experience. From the GM to the beach & pool Team, they could not have done anymore to make our stay more enjoyable. Even watching the staff take genuine care of the more senior guests who needed that little bit of extra assistance was very humbling. The location is superb, the spa is understated and excellent and facilities in general are very good. Highlights for us are the Horizon bar staff, the Trattoria breakfast & afternoon tea Team and our housekeeping staff who looked after Suite 346 (19th -28th Feb25). Congratulations to the General Manager and all of the very well trained and attentive staff. Thank you for looking after us, you all should be very proud.

This hotel is definitely not 5 star! Run down, cockroaches in the lobby and in the bedroom. Breakfast was terrible, had rancid butter, decided not to eat there the next 2 mornings although included. Went to eat at the restaurant on the first night but changed our minds when we were ignored and saw the bugs. We asked to check out early, but because we booked non refundable they said nothing could be done. The view to the beach is obscured by hawker stands and a large branch fell off the tree and nearly hit us Our son who lives in Thailand was shocked how bad it was , especially when he found out what we paid. At checkout no one even asked if we had enjoyed our stay, not the usual Thai hospitality

This is a great place to stay, the only thing is if you have to stay in your room for any reason TV is crap.
