Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket

I feel bad for taking so long to write this review, so let's get into it! This resort is massive, it's part of an even larger planned community called Laguna on Phuket island. This resort is about 45 minutes by car from Phuket old town so keep that in mind if you are looking to enjoy the Phuket nightlife or something. It was so large in our 4 days we didn't see every part of it or manage to try all the restaurants. The Overview: We loved our time in this resort. The staff and the atmosphere were absolutely wonderful, they were sweet and accommodating. I ordered take out from their Italian restaurant and just asked them to box it up for me, instead they delivered it right to our room on the tray and collected the dishes in the morning. Every staff interaction I had during our stay was nice. One afternoon when we were laying by the pool we wandered over to the Petanque court just off the beach and the staff taught us how to play their local game. It is a game similar to lawn bowling but played on a gravel surface. The Food: We loved the food, the breakfast and afternoon tea were included in our room rate and we enjoyed them each day, the coffee and Thai tea is honestly fantastic. We had a margarita pizza from the Italian restaurant which was excellent in addition to a wonderful tiramisu. The Pad Thai and carbonara were also delicious (Some pictured below) The Staff: Waraporn (who I believe is the guest service manager) was one of the sweetest people ever. She made suggestions about places to visit and things to do, she shared about Thai culture and was such a warm addition to our stay. She and her staff are so well trained and clearly care about their jobs. She went above and beyond to make our stay more comfortable. The Resort Grounds: The grounds were cleaned daily, we watched the grounds crews maintaining the beach and doing general maintenance throughout our stay, additionally the pool chairs and furniture and towels were maintained and dried after rains etc. Great! The Bad? I have seen people in other reviews saying the resort feels old and there isn't a separate adult pool and there was construction noise. It did feel like an older resort, the shady trees were wonderful and well grown and developed. The resort was well maintained. The pool had families and sometimes the kids squealed with joy. I didnt hear any construction noise. It was a joy to stay at this resort and we really hope to return some day.

Great hotel that is making great efforts to improve even more (difficult to do) with updates to the premises. The hotel shines like a diamond now! But it is people who make a great hotel. I have stayed at Dusit Thani Phuket between June 4-8th 2025 under reservation number 19354645. While I have several comments about food quality, ant infestation at the rooms and buffet, my complaint is more severe. My wife was in the bathroom when suddenly the shower door fell on her and broke into pieces causing a slight injury. She immediately contact reception who initially told her she is to pay for the damage then realized the hotel was at fault offering to deduct our $200 F&B charges.

The hotel is beach front and is really big. All staff were friendly and accommodating. Was pretty much high season when we visited but it was not crowded. Shoutout to their Benjarong and Casuarina Restaurant the food was great!. There was also a convenience store just outside the hotel

Our company had the pleasure of having our annual retreat here in May and it turned out to be an incredible experience for everyone, largely thanks to Karter’s and his teams impeccable hospitality and genuine interest in making every minute of our stay memorable and delightful. From the welcome and our rooms to our meals and activities, Karter and his lovely team made sure we were well taken care of throughout our stay and often worked overtime just so everything was attended to. Without him and the staff, we’re not sure the trip would’ve turned out the way it did, so thank you so much once again Karter, you’re a legend!

We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa which was fabulous. The staff couldn’t do enough for you. Breakfast and afternoon tea were lovely plenty of choice and great coffee. The staff were amazing and the rooms spotless. The villa came with a free laundry service which was a lovely touch. The pool and beach were beautiful and always sun beds available. My only negative was the lack of evening entertainment and the price of the restaurants. The restaurants along the beach were lovely and offered lots of entertainment. I would highly recommend this hotel nothing is too much trouble for the staff we will definitely be returning.

I usually don't give reviews, however this warrents one....this was, by far, the very best hotel experience I've had in years....from the moment of arrival, until my departure, the customer service has been EXCEPTIONAL...the staff goes above and beyond to ensure your every need is met. HIGHLY RECOMMEND...I will definitely book here in the future...

Lovely resort on the northwestern coast in Phuket, Dusit Thani Laguna Phuket, is located at the Laguna Resort Complex. The resort carries the Thai charm, with lots of greeneries, a beautiful beach with an amazing sunset, and plenty of activities that one can join in for. There are a number of food outlets from fine Italian to authentic Thai to all-day international. The room size is good. Our room comes with a bathtub and standing shower, other amenities like a safe box, slippers, robes, iron and ironing board, smart tv, etc. Staff is friendly and helpful.
