"Alexandre La Siesta Review"

6.0

Visited Alexandre La Siesta hotel at the end of May 2026 for a week with my family (4 adults and a baby) and wanted to leave a honest review as I know these really help me decide on which hotel to book. Pros - • Hotel Staff were very friendly, polite and always went that extra mile if you needed anything. I had an issue with some bottled water I’d bought to feed my baby as when I boiled it the water was crystallising which I thought was down to the kettle. I rang reception and they sorted me a new kettle within the hour I later realised after a quick google it wasn’t the kettle it was the brand of water I was using (Evian). So for anyone needing bottled water for making baby milk look for Fonteide. • Our hotel room was immaculate on arrival, very comfy beds even the pull out single bed was huge. Room was cleaned and maintained daily plus fresh towels. All areas of the hotel were very clean and maintained we found it odd that we didn’t see any bugs at all even with the heat so just shows it’s well kept. • We went all inclusive and the food was really nice, they put on different cuisines every evening I particularly enjoyed the ice cream! • Myself and my husband also booked a massage which was lovely, it cost us €39 per person for 25 minutes for head, neck and back. • This hotel is literally on the main strip so your next to everything, the beach is roughly a 10 min walk and you’re surrounded by restaurants and local supermarkets. It’s also a 10 min walk from the golden mile. • We also recommend visiting Bad Bobs if you’re looking for a Full English breakfast! It’s a 5 minute walk from this hotel - if you can’t find it just put it into google maps. Food is so nice and the staff are lovely! Cons - • Unfortunately on our last day we had a late flight and didn’t get picked up until 6PM but had to check out of our room at 12PM so had to leave our luggage in the storage room which was full so we had no choice but to leave our cases near a second door way as you entered. After we had been away for no longer than a hour we realised my husbands watch had been stolen from the front of his backpack (I did tell him not to leave it in his bag 🙃) we did ask reception if there was any cctv in the luggage room which conveniently there wasn’t and they just gave us a tiny piece of paper to email the hotel. So I guess there’s nothing we can do about that but would rather warn others not to leave any valuables in the luggage room. • All inclusive drinks mainly the alcohol ones were rubbish they just tasted watered down or if any alcohol was actually in them you couldn’t taste it. If you wanted the proper branded stuff you had to pay which was added to your hotel number and then you paid for it at the end of your stay. • One evening I picked some turkey to go with my tea and I always cut into it to double check it’s cooked but unfortunately it wasn’t it was still raw inside but as soon as I informed the manager he took my plate away and sorted me another plate, he also had words with the chef. So not too much a CON as it was rectified fast but I thought I better had mention it so people are aware. We’d not long had norovirus spread through our entire household so we’re a little on edge when it comes to food specially on holiday. • The entertainment for the evening was advertised on a huge tv for the week which looked really good but once the evenings arrived it was something completely different that was advertised and tbh it was awful. The music was way too loud you couldn’t even hear yourself think never mind try have a conversation! So overall all yes we did have a nice stay and we would 100% visit Las Americas again but I think we would try another hotel. I would rate it a 3.5⭐️ if it let me! 🙂

"NE RECOMMANDE PAS, DEÇU, RAPPORT QUALITÉ PRIX PAS AU NIVEAU ...."

4.0

"It’s grand hotel, great location"

7.0

Central location for restaurants and bars

Very little entertainment through the day. Says it’s a family orientated hotel. Shows are little dated, building works carried out durin the stay which lead to noise and disruption through the day. Not a 4 star hotel nor 4 star service

"Very Disappointing Experience – Serious Food Safety and Hygiene Concerns"

2.0

We stayed at Hotel La Siesta, Tenerife, from 24th to 31st, and unfortunately our experience was extremely disappointing. The most serious issue occurred in the restaurant when we found what appeared to be a piece of cupboard or wooden material wedged inside a portion of fries on my 7-year-old child's plate. This was a shocking discovery and raised immediate concerns about the hotel's food preparation and quality control standards. To make matters worse, when we reported the issue, none of the hotel management were willing to take responsibility, and on several occasions management were either unavailable or unwilling to address our concerns properly. We felt completely ignored despite providing photographic evidence. The overall hygiene standards also left a lot to be desired. There were visible cleanliness issues around food service areas which only added to our concerns after finding a foreign object in our meal. By the second day of our holiday, we had lost confidence in the food being served and requested to change our package from full board to bed and breakfast. Even after showing staff the photographs, our request was refused. Several dishes seemed to have been left out for long periods, and the overall presentation was poor. The food was frequently lukewarm rather than properly hot, which immediately raised concerns about food safety. The quality of the food was also far below what I would expect from a hotel of this rating. There was very little variety, many dishes looked unappetising, and some items appeared dry or as though they had been sitting under heat lamps for hours. There were chipped plates among the stacks of crockery. Aside from looking unprofessional, damaged crockery can be a safety risk and should not be available for guests to use. These issues completely undermined confidence in the restaurant's hygiene standards. If basic items such as plates and cups are being returned to service in this condition, it naturally raises concerns about cleanliness and food handling behind the scenes. I have also emailed Jet2 holidays regarding the incident and, at the time of writing, have received no response. Finding a foreign object in food served to a child is unacceptable, but the lack of accountability and customer care afterwards was equally disappointing. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this hotel and believe significant improvements are needed in both food safety procedures and customer service.
