"Good property, but ..."

Cannot recommend unfortunately. The hotel is in a great location in Cheltenham but, the end-of-May heatwave in the UK and western Europe happened during our visit. That happens and on top of it, the AC conked out -- also happens. We didn't expect the hotel staff to suddenly become AC repairmen but, we did expect the hotel staff to show some concern, send a bucket of ice, buy some fans --- make an effort in other words. None of this happened. We understand 'stuff' happens -- no one's fault. But if you run a hotel, do what you can especially without being asked.

"it was very pleasant."

breakfast not exceptional - but the boiled eggs were good . the full english was ok the shower in the room was excellent the windows don't open high enough . You'd need at keast 18 inches to even try to throw yourself out of the window ! fresh air is essential.

the lead of the bar staff didn't seem to treat his staff courteously and he was abrupt with customers .

One night stay brilliant staff the hotel is lovely very comfortable bed . spotless clean though out. The cooked breakfast is the best I have ever had service was excellent highly recommended will definitely stay again.
